Authentic Hong Kong noodle bar in T4's calm, unhurried mezzanine

About this lounge

The Cathay Pacific Lounge occupies the Level 2M mezzanine at Terminal 4, accessible via escalator after clearing immigration and duty-free. At 849 square meters with 210-person capacity, it delivers Cathay Pacific's signature Hong Kong hospitality in a naturally calm setting. The centrepiece is the Cha Caan Teng-style Noodle Bar serving freshly made Wonton Noodles, Har Gow, Siu Mai, and Steamed BBQ Pork Buns — the seafood siu mai is especially praised. Moet & Chandon leads a compact but adequate drinks selection. Charging at every table supports productivity. Terminal 4's relative isolation from the main terminals creates a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere that's distinctly different from the busier T1 and T3 lounge precincts. The notable absence of showers is a deliberate choice given T4's low connecting passenger volume, but it's a genuine gap for long-haul travelers.

The Cathay Pacific Lounge is well-suited for light to moderate work. Charging ports at every table eliminate the hunt for power, and reliable Wi-Fi supports most tasks. The calm T4 atmosphere provides a focused environment. However, there are no dedicated work desks or business centre facilities.

Food & drink

The Noodle Bar is the unmistakable star of the Cathay Pacific Lounge. Modeled after Hong Kong's beloved Cha Caan Teng cafes, it serves freshly made Wonton Noodles, Har Gow, Siu Mai (the seafood version receives the most praise), and Steamed BBQ Pork Buns. The quality is remarkably authentic and consistent. Beyond the noodle bar, the food offering is more modest — adequate but not remarkable.

Wonton Noodles — classic Hong Kong preparation
Har Gow (crystal shrimp dumplings)
Seafood Siu Mai — the standout item
Steamed BBQ Pork Buns

Dietary: Vegetarian dim sum options available · Light snacks and salads for lighter appetites

Must tryThe Seafood Siu Mai is the dish reviewers rave about most — delicate, flavorful, and perfectly steamed. Follow it with the Wonton Noodles for the full Hong Kong experience.

FAQ

Quick answers.

This is a deliberate design decision. Terminal 4 has very few connecting passengers, so Cathay Pacific determined that shower facilities were not a priority. Most passengers using this lounge are originating from Singapore.

No day passes are available. Access requires a qualifying Cathay Pacific or oneworld ticket or oneworld Emerald/Sapphire status on a oneworld carrier.

The lounge operates from 4:00 AM to 1:00 AM daily, providing nearly 21 hours of coverage.

Terminal 4 is a separate building from the main terminal complex. If you're connecting from another terminal, you'll need to take a shuttle bus, which can add 10-15 minutes to your journey. Plan accordingly.

It's less premium than the Qantas First Class Lounge (T1) or Qatar Premium Lounge (T1), but the Noodle Bar gives it a unique culinary identity. For a Business Class lounge, the food quality is excellent — just in a different category from those premium spaces.
