Where we'd actually go.
Qatar Airways Premium Lounge
The highest-rated lounge at Changi at 4.8 stars. The kitchen runs full a la carte (lamb cutlets, prawn linguine, that kind of thing) instead of the buffet trays you'll find everywhere else. Catch: you need to be flying Qatar in business or first, or holding oneworld Emerald or Sapphire on a QR-operated flight.
Plaza Premium Lounge
The Priority Pass card you already have probably gets you in here. 4.4 stars on 8,700+ Google reviews, 24-hour operation, showers, hot food, and a live cooking station. If you don't have PP, walk-in passes start at SGD 65 for three hours, which is fair for what you get.
Singapore Airlines Silverkris Lounge Sin Terminal
Power at every seat, fast Wi-Fi, desk-style seating, and quiet zones that aren't an afterthought. The most productive lounge at Changi for actual work. Worth knowing: SQ is mid-renovation here (a SGD 45M overhaul), so expect some noise and shifted layouts through 2026.
Qantas First Class Lounge
The Neil Perry menu reads like a real restaurant: salt-and-pepper squid, the Wagyu burger people fly for, and a sharp wine list. If you're holding a oneworld Emerald boarding pass or flying Qantas first, this is the meal of your trip.
Every lounge. 17 bookable right now.

Changi Airport lounges by terminal.
Terminal 1
T1 has the most lounges of any terminal at Changi and the highest ceiling. Plaza Premium is the best Priority Pass option at the airport. Qatar Premium is the highest-rated. Qantas First serves the best food. If you're flexible on which terminal to transit through, T1 is where you want to be.
- —Qatar Airways Premium Lounge: 4.8 stars, full a la carte dining
- —Plaza Premium Lounge: 24-hour operation, showers, live cooking station
- —Qantas First Class Lounge: Neil Perry menu, premium wine list
- —Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao: PP dining credit option
Terminal 2
T2 has solid paid options and a few useful PP perks. Ambassador Transit is the dependable PP lounge. Hub & Spoke is a rare landside option, useful when you arrive early or are meeting someone before security. Singapore Airlines' SilverKris here is mid-renovation (SGD 45M overhaul) that will significantly widen its capacity and amenities.
- —SQ SilverKris Lounge: 6,400+ reviews, mid-renovation through 2026
- —Ambassador Transit Lounge: solid PP option with showers
- —Hub & Spoke: rare landside lounge, useful for early arrivals
- —TranSpa: PP-covered 15-minute massage, an underused PP perk
Terminal 3
T3 is Singapore Airlines' home turf. The Private Room (SQ Suites/First only) is the most-talked-about airline lounge in Asia, partly for the lobster laksa and Dom Perignon. Even without first-class access, SATS Premier here is genuinely good now: hawker tie-ups with Boon Tong Kee chicken rice and Song Fa bak kut teh.
- —SQ The Private Room: 4.7 stars, SQ Suites/First only, lobster laksa
- —SATS Premier Lounge: hawker tie-ups (Boon Tong Kee, Song Fa)
- —SQ KrisFlyer Gold Lounge: Star Alliance Gold access
Terminal 4
T4 serves budget carriers and a few full-service lines (Cathay, Korean Air, AirAsia). The Cathay Pacific Lounge (4.5 stars, 2,000+ reviews) is the clear standout. Blossom is the contract lounge here, run jointly by SATS and Plaza Premium — adequate, not a destination lounge.
- —Cathay Pacific Lounge: 4.5 stars, the clear winner in T4 with a noodle bar
- —Tiger Den: compact but well-reviewed (4.0 stars) pay-per-use
- —Crystal Jade Go: PP dining credit for quick Cantonese fare
- —Smaller lounge selection than T1-T3
Jewel Changi
Jewel is a landside retail and entertainment complex linked to T1, T2, and T3. The Changi Lounge here is useful pre-flight if you want to spend time at Jewel's attractions (the Rain Vortex is the obvious one) before clearing immigration. Showers, quiet space, and luggage storage. Practical for long layovers.
- —Changi Lounge: 4.2 stars, landside, showers and luggage storage
- —Useful for long layovers if you want to explore Jewel
- —Connected to T1 directly and T2/T3 via underground link
How to get into lounges at SIN.
Changi is one of the most lounge-friendly airports in Asia. Priority Pass alone covers about 10 lounges plus several restaurant and spa experiences. Below are the main routes in.
Priority Pass
The most useful lounge membership at Changi. Covers Plaza Premium T1, Ambassador Transit T2, Marhaba T3, Blossom Lounge T4, and Changi Lounge at Jewel. PP also covers dining credits at Crystal Jade and Kaveri Express, plus a complimentary 15-minute massage at TranSpa. Best single card for Changi coverage.
DragonPass
Covers a similar network at Changi, including Plaza Premium, Marhaba, and SATS Premier. Often bundled with Mastercard World Elite and several Asian bank cards. Useful if your card includes DragonPass but not PP.
Airline Status & Premium Tickets
Business and first-class tickets get you into your carrier's lounge or a partner lounge. Star Alliance Gold members can use SQ KrisFlyer Gold and SilverKris lounges. Oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members access British Airways and Qantas lounges. The Private Room is harder: SQ Suites or First Class boarding pass only. No status alone qualifies.
Credit Card Access
Beyond cards that bundle PP or DragonPass, some Singapore-issued cards include direct lounge access. DBS, OCBC, and Citi premium cards often cover Plaza Premium or SATS lounges. Check your benefits — many travelers don't realise their card already qualifies.
Walk-in Day Pass
Several lounges sell walk-in passes. Plaza Premium and Marhaba are the most reliable. Pre-booking online is usually cheaper than paying at the door. Useful as a one-off if you don't have a lounge card.
Free Alternatives
Changi's free Snooze Lounges in T1, T2, and T3 give you padded recliners in a dimmed, quiet area, no membership required. They're not lounges in the buffet-and-shower sense, but they're a real free option for rest. Jewel also has plenty of comfortable seating you can land at without a card.
Know before you go.
Timing & Crowds
- —Plaza Premium T1 hits peak between 10pm and 1am, when long-haul flights to Europe and Australia cluster. Visit before 8pm or after 2am for a quieter run.
- —SATS Premier T3 is noticeably emptier between 2pm and 5pm, the lull between lunch rush and evening departures. Good time for a sit-down meal.
- —SQ SilverKris lounges are busiest 30 to 60 minutes before major SQ departures. If your flight is off-peak, you may have the lounge nearly to yourself.
Maximising Priority Pass
- —Don't just use PP for entry. At Changi it also covers TranSpa (a complimentary 15-minute shoulder massage in T2), Crystal Jade dining credits, and Kaveri Express meals. Mix and match across terminals.
- —PP guests at Plaza Premium T1 are entitled to shower access. Request it as soon as you arrive, since shower slots fill up on busy nights.
- —If Plaza Premium T1 is full (common late evening), your PP card also works at Marhaba T3 and Ambassador Transit T2. Check the inter-terminal Skytrain schedule before walking over.
Terminal Navigation
- —The Skytrain between T1, T2, and T3 runs every 2 to 4 minutes and is free in the transit area. End to end is about 5 minutes. T4 is separate and needs a shuttle bus, which adds 10 to 15 minutes.
- —If you have a long layover and are airside, you can reach Jewel's Changi Lounge by exiting the public area via T1, but you'll need to clear immigration again. Only practical with 4+ hour layovers.
- —T3 Basement 2 has a free 24-hour movie theatre, a swimming pool (SGD 17), and gaming stations. Worth knowing if your lounge visit feels short.
Food Strategy
- —For the best lounge meal at Changi without a premium ticket, head to SATS Premier T3. The hawker collaborations (Boon Tong Kee chicken rice, Song Fa bak kut teh) are the real brands, not airport approximations.
- —If you have access to The Private Room in T3, order the lobster laksa. It's the most talked-about airport lounge dish in the world, and it lives up to it.
- —Crystal Jade outlets in T1 and T4 accept Priority Pass dining credits (around SGD 36 per card). The xiao long bao at the T1 location is the better of the two.
Frequently asked, frequently answered.
Changi has 30+ lounges across 4 terminals and Jewel. T1 has the most options with 9, followed by T2 (8), T3 (6), T4 (5), and Jewel (1). Options range from pay-per-use lounges like Plaza Premium to ultra-restricted spaces like Singapore Airlines' The Private Room.
Priority Pass covers about 10 lounges and experiences at Changi: Plaza Premium Lounge (T1), Ambassador Transit Lounge (T2), Marhaba Lounge (T3), Blossom Lounge (T4), and Changi Lounge (Jewel). PP also covers dining credits at Crystal Jade and Kaveri Express restaurants, plus a complimentary treatment at TranSpa in T2.
It depends on your access. For open-access paid lounges, Plaza Premium T1 (4.4 stars, 8,700+ reviews) is the clear winner. For airline lounges, the Qatar Airways Premium Lounge (4.8 stars) offers the best overall experience with full a la carte dining. The absolute pinnacle is Singapore Airlines' The Private Room (4.7 stars) in T3, but you need an SQ Suites or First Class ticket.
Yes. Most Changi lounges are airside (in the transit area), so you can use them without clearing Singapore immigration. You can also move between T1, T2, and T3 on the free Skytrain or to T4 on a shuttle bus. Jewel's Changi Lounge is landside, so it's only practical with 4+ hour layovers.
There are no free traditional lounges, but Changi has free Snooze Lounges with padded recliners in the transit areas of T1, T2, and T3. They're dimmed, quiet, and designed for sleeping. No food or showers, but adequate for rest. T3 also has a free 24-hour movie theatre and gaming area.
T1, T2, and T3 are connected by the free Skytrain in the transit area, no immigration required. The ride takes about 5 minutes end to end and runs every 2 to 4 minutes. T4 is separate and needs a shuttle bus (10 to 15 minutes). Plan an extra 15 to 20 minutes if you're visiting a lounge in a different terminal from your gate.
If you have access (SQ Suites or First Class only), yes. The Private Room is a sit-down restaurant experience with a la carte dishes including the famous lobster laksa, premium champagne, and an atmosphere closer to fine dining than an airport lounge. With a 4.7-star rating, it consistently ranks among the best airline lounge experiences in the world.
Yes. Several lounges sell walk-in day passes, typically for 3-hour sessions. Plaza Premium (T1) starts around SGD 65, Marhaba Lounge (T3) from SGD 55, and Ambassador Transit (T2) from SGD 50. Pre-booking online is usually cheaper. Airline-specific lounges (SQ, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific) do not sell day passes and require eligible tickets or status.
