The Air India Maharaja Lounge is the Star Alliance option in JFK Terminal 4 and one of the terminal's few Priority Pass lounges. It sits airside on Level 4 near Gate A5, beside the Emirates Lounge and the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse. Air India uses it for both First and Business Class passengers, and it also admits Star Alliance Gold members, Priority Pass members for up to 2 hours, and Lounge Club members. The airport directory lists it open 07:00 to 22:00, and Priority Pass entry runs from 08:00. The food is hot and cold with vegetarian options, and there are soft drinks and alcohol. Wi-Fi, newspapers, magazines and air conditioning are all here, with step-free access. It is a functional room rather than a luxurious one: the traditional Indian decor is dated and the lounge gets busy at peak times, though the tarmac views help. Air India plans to move to New Terminal 6 once it opens.
