The American Airlines Admirals Club in JFK Terminal 8 is airside in Concourse C, across from Gate 42. It opens every day from 04:15 to 22:30, early enough for the first morning departures. This is American's membership club rather than a premium-cabin lounge, so the door is wide: Admirals Club members, Citi AAdvantage Executive cardholders, oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members and American Airlines international premium-cabin passengers, plus anyone holding a day pass. The room is sleek and functional, with clean lines, neutral tones and large windows over the tarmac that let in plenty of natural light. Seating is split into clusters, with a dedicated bar and a quiet kids' zone. Snacks, soft drinks, house wine, beer and liquor are complimentary. Heartier food and premium drinks are sold, so eat before you arrive if you want a full meal on the house.
