The Chelsea Lounge has the strictest entry rules of the three joint American Airlines and British Airways lounges in JFK Terminal 8. It is airside on Level 4, above Gate 14, and opens every day from 04:15 to 23:30. Getting in takes a premium long-haul ticket or the very top of the status ladder: American Airlines Flagship First and Flagship Business Plus passengers, British Airways First passengers, AAdvantage ConciergeKey members on Flagship itineraries and British Airways Gold Guest List members. No day passes are sold. Inside, the design is chic and urban: muted tones, sleek contemporary furniture, plush seating and soft ambient lighting. Noise stays low. The space divides into distinct zones for dining, relaxing and working, and the facilities cover showers, hot and cold food, a bar, coffee and tea, a business centre and power outlets. For a transatlantic First passenger, this is the best seat in Terminal 8.

One of the better places in Terminal 8 to get work done. There is a dedicated working zone with a business centre, power outlets and Wi-Fi, and the low noise level helps.
Dining has its own zone here, separate from the relaxing and working areas, which keeps meals calm. Hot and cold food is served, alongside a bar and coffee and tea. For a First Class passenger heading overnight to Europe, eating a proper meal here and sleeping on board is the smart play.
After Terminal 8 security, go up to Level 4. The Chelsea Lounge is above Gate 14, in the same area as the Soho Lounge.
