USO CenterNewark Airport (EWR)
★4.0(140 reviews)EWR
A welcoming home-away-from-home for U.S. service members and their families at Newark.
The USO Center at Newark Liberty is a dedicated space for those who serve, welcoming U.S. Armed Forces active duty, Reserve and National Guard service members and their families. It sits in Terminal B on level 2, landside before the security checkpoint, which makes it easy to reach on arrival at the terminal. USO centers across the country share a common purpose — to give military travellers a calm, supportive place to rest, recharge and feel a little closer to home while they wait for a flight. That typically means comfortable seating, refreshments, a quiet atmosphere and a welcoming, volunteer-run environment, rather than the bar-and-buffet set-up of a commercial airline lounge. Access is limited to eligible service members and their families with appropriate ID, so it isn't a pay-in or membership lounge, but for those who qualify it's a genuinely valuable space at a busy airport.

USO centers typically provide complimentary refreshments and snacks for service members and their families — coffee, soft drinks and light bites in a relaxed setting, rather than a buffet or bar service. It's about comfort and hospitality more than a meal offering.
