Austrian Lounge Vie Gates G Non Schengen Temporary
★2.8(187 reviews)VIE
Austrian's current non-Schengen lounge — tarmac views at Gates G until the 2027 rebuild.
This is Austrian Airlines' current non-Schengen lounge at Vienna — and the most relevant Austrian lounge to know about right now, because it reflects the airline's mid-rebuild reality. Vienna Airport is getting a facelift: in December 2024 Austrian opened a temporary lounge at the non-Schengen Gates G area, in the former Gates G01–G03 space, and it's expected to remain in operation until a new permanent lounge opens in 2027 in the terminal's south extension. The temporary lounge combines what used to be the separate Business and Senator lounges into a single space — there are no longer distinct Business and Senator lounges — welcoming Austrian business-class passengers and Star Alliance Gold members alike. HON Circle members still have their own separate private area. Inside, the lounge offers comfortable seating and panoramic tarmac views, with a hot buffet, snacks, and a full bar of soft drinks, house wine, beer and liquor. A paid-entry route is also listed in our data.
Crowding · moderate
Fine for light work before a non-Schengen flight, with seating, Wi-Fi and tarmac views, though as a temporary lounge it's primarily a relax-and-dine space rather than a dedicated workspace.
A complimentary hot buffet with snacks, served alongside a full bar of soft drinks, house wine, beer and liquor. As a temporary combined lounge, the offering covers both former Business and Senator passengers in one space, geared to a pre-flight meal or drink with tarmac views.
