Malpensa's pay-per-visit premium space — the former Casa Alitalia lounge.
The Gae Aulenti Premium Lounge is Milan Malpensa's pay-per-visit premium lounge, sitting airside in Terminal 1's extra-Schengen pier next to gates B50-B58. It's the new incarnation of the defunct Casa Alitalia Piazza San Babila: the airport authority kept Alitalia's elegant, elaborate design and well-rounded array of amenities. Guests find a generous hot buffet, a full bar and elegant shower rooms in an inviting, serene environment. Access is on a pay-in basis at the door — note that entry requires an additional EUR 10 per visit on top of one lounge visit, payable to the lounge on arrival — which makes it a useful option for travellers without airline status or a lounge membership flying non-Schengen out of Malpensa. The premium design and shower facilities set it a step above the standard Classic lounges.
