About BOG

Bogota's El Dorado International Airport (BOG) is Avianca's main hub and the busiest airport in Colombia, and all 13 lounges we track run from Terminal 1. The field splits between the international departures concourse, where Avianca operates its Star Alliance and Diamond lounges past immigration, and the domestic and public areas, which hold LATAM's oneworld lounge, the Copa Club, several pay-in contract lounges and rest-pod options. If you fly Avianca or hold Star Alliance status, the Avianca lounges are the headline experience; otherwise Priority Pass covers a good set of lounges including the El Dorado Lounge and Copa Club, LATAM serves oneworld flyers, and several lounges sell a walk-in day pass so you can pay per visit. Because the lounges split between the international and domestic sides of Terminal 1, always pick one in the area you're departing from before clearing security.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every El Dorado International Airport lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Best Overall

El Dorado Lounge (International Departures)

The El Dorado Lounge in Terminal 1's international departures area is the most flexible way in at BOG — it takes Priority Pass and also sells a pay-in buffet, sits airside in front of Gate A8, and stays open 24 hours, so it suits the widest range of international travellers.

Best for Pay-Per-Visit

The Lounge Bogota

The Lounge Bogota sits in Terminal 1's domestic departures near Duty Free and takes both Priority Pass and pay-in guests, so you can buy a single visit without airline status or a specific membership — a straightforward walk-in option.

Best for Resting

Access guide

How to get lounge access at Bogota El Dorado Airport

El Dorado is an Avianca hub first, so Star Alliance status and a premium Avianca cabin open the most prestigious lounges. Priority Pass covers a solid set of contract and airline lounges, LATAM adds oneworld access, and a good number of lounges sell a walk-in day pass — so you can pay per visit without status or a membership. Check whether your lounge is in the international or domestic part of Terminal 1 before clearing security.

Airline status

Star Alliance & Avianca

Avianca runs the headline lounges at its home hub. Its Star Alliance lounges welcome eligible Star Alliance Gold and premium-cabin passengers, while the Diamond lounges add LifeMiles Diamond members. A premium Avianca ticket is the simplest route in.

Insider tips

Bogota El Dorado Airport lounge tips

01

This is Avianca's hub

  • —Avianca anchors El Dorado, so its Star Alliance and Diamond lounges are the headline options if you fly the carrier or hold LifeMiles status.
  • —The Avianca lounges past immigration sit on the second floor between gates A1 and B1 — follow the signs at the end of the hall.
  • —If you're not flying Avianca, Priority Pass and pay-in lounges give you plenty of alternatives.
02

International vs domestic

  • —All BOG lounges run from Terminal 1, but they split between the international concourse (past immigration) and the domestic departures area.
  • —The El Dorado Lounge, Copa Club and Amex lounge are on the international side; LATAM and The Lounge Bogota are on the domestic side.
  • —Pick a lounge in the part of the terminal you're departing from before clearing security.
03

Pay-per-visit works here

  • —Several El Dorado lounges sell a walk-in day pass, so you can pay per visit without status or a membership.
  • —Booking a lounge slot online ahead of time is usually cheaper than paying at the door and locks in entry at busy times.
  • —At some lounges the buffet and showers carry an extra charge on top of entry — check the per-lounge page.
04

Resting between flights

  • —Sleep Oasis and Wait N' Rest rent private, soundproofed rest pods by the hour — the best bet at BOG for an actual sleep.
  • —Sleep Oasis is on Priority Pass; a pod visit counts as a lounge visit under your membership, capped at a two-hour stay.
  • —These pods are landside in the Terminal 1 public hall, so use them before you clear security.
