Bangalore Airport Lounges

Kempegowda International Airport · Bengaluru, India

Kempegowda International (BLR) serves Bengaluru from two terminals, and most of its lounges are 080-branded contract lounges run by the local operator. Terminal 2 holds the bigger field — airside 080, Z Lounge, Air India and several pay-in VIP and arrivals lounges — while Terminal 1 has a cluster of DragonPass and Priority Pass lounges. DragonPass opens the widest set.

About BLR

Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) serves Bengaluru from two terminals, and its lounge scene is dominated by the local '080' operator. Terminal 2 — the newer 'Terminal in a Garden' — handles most international flights and holds the larger lounge field, including the airside 080 and 080 International lounges, the Air India Lounge and a set of pay-in VIP and arrivals lounges. Terminal 1 is mostly domestic, with a cluster of 080 contract lounges reachable on DragonPass and the 080 Domestic Lounge also taking Priority Pass. DragonPass is the most useful single membership at BLR; Priority Pass covers a narrower set, oneworld reaches the 080 International Lounge, and Air India Business Class or Star Alliance Gold opens the Air India Lounge. Several 080 VIP and arrivals lounges also sell walk-in day passes, so you can pay per visit without status. Because the terminals are separate buildings, always pick a lounge in the terminal you're flying from.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Kempegowda International Airport lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Where we'd actually go.

Best Overall

080 International Lounge

The 080 International Lounge in Terminal 2 has the widest access at BLR — DragonPass, Priority Pass and oneworld all get you in — and sits airside in the international departures area. A solid all-rounder for most long-haul travellers leaving from T2.

Best Airline Lounge

Air India lounge

The Air India Lounge in Terminal 2, opened in March 2025, is the first lounge redesigned after the Tata Group acquisition. It serves Air India Business Class, Star Alliance Gold and eligible members — the most polished branded-airline option at Bangalore.

Best Premium Pay-In

080 VIP International Lounge Blr Terminal

The 080 VIP International Lounge is a higher-tier pay-in alternative to the busy standard 080 lounge, with locally inspired decor, a hot buffet, table-side dining, complimentary drinks and shower suites — worth the day pass when you want a quieter, more comfortable wait.

Best for Arrivals

080 Lounge Arrival Blr Terminal

The 080 Arrival Lounge in Terminal 2 sits outside security before the exit gates and is open to all arriving passengers on a pay-in basis — somewhere to rest, freshen up and catch a meal after landing, which the departure lounges don't cover.

T2

Terminal 2

Terminal 2 — the newer 'Terminal in a Garden' — handles most of Bangalore's international flights and a share of domestic, and holds the larger lounge field. The 080 operator runs the bulk of them, including the airside 080 and 080 International lounges, the Air India Lounge and a set of pay-in VIP and arrivals lounges. DragonPass and Priority Pass cover most of the airside contract lounges.

  • Most international departures and the bigger lounge cluster at BLR
  • 080 International Lounge takes DragonPass, Priority Pass and oneworld
  • Air India Lounge serves Business Class and Star Alliance Gold passengers
  • Pay-in VIP and arrivals lounges available without any membership
T1

Terminal 1

Terminal 1 is Bangalore's original terminal, handling domestic flights and some international services. Its lounges are mostly 080-operated contract lounges reachable on DragonPass, with the 080 Domestic Lounge also taking Priority Pass. A landside kerbside lounge near the domestic arrivals exit rounds out the cluster.

  • Domestic-focused terminal with a cluster of DragonPass contract lounges
  • 080 Domestic Lounge takes both DragonPass and Priority Pass
  • BLR Lounge and Zero 8 Zero sit airside near Gate 34
  • T1 Lounge (Kerbside) is landside, after the domestic arrival exit gates
Access guide

How to get into lounges at BLR.

Bangalore is a DragonPass airport first — that membership opens the widest set of lounges across both terminals. Priority Pass covers several of the 080 and Z lounges, oneworld status reaches the 080 International Lounge, and Air India Business Class and Star Alliance Gold open the Air India Lounge. A number of 080 VIP and arrivals lounges also sell walk-in day passes. Always check whether your lounge is in Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 before you travel.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass is accepted at the widest set of BLR lounges, including the airside 080 lounges in both terminals, Z Lounge, BLR Lounge, Zero 8 Zero and the T1 Kerbside lounge. It's the single most useful membership at Bangalore.

DragonPass
Lounge membership

Priority Pass

Priority Pass works at several Bangalore lounges, including the 080 Domestic Lounge (T1), Z Lounge and the 080 International Lounge (T2). Coverage is narrower than DragonPass, so confirm your specific lounge and terminal before you travel.

Priority Pass
Airline status

Airline & alliance lounges

The Air India Lounge in Terminal 2 serves Air India Business Class and Star Alliance Gold passengers; the 080 Lounge (T2) accepts SkyTeam and Star Alliance status, and the 080 International Lounge adds oneworld. Access follows your ticket and frequent-flyer tier.

Star AllianceSkyTeamoneworld

Walk-in day pass

Several 080 lounges sell entry at the door, including the VIP International, VIP Domestic and VIP Arrival lounges and the standard 080 Arrival Lounge in Terminal 2 — so you can pay per visit without any membership or status.

Paid Entry
Premium cabin

Business & First class ticket

A premium-cabin ticket gets you into your airline's lounge directly — most relevantly an Air India Business Class fare for the Air India Lounge in Terminal 2. It's the simplest route if you're flying business out of Bangalore.

Air India
Insider tips

Know before you go.

01

Lead with DragonPass

  • DragonPass covers more BLR lounges than Priority Pass — if you only carry one membership, it's the better bet here.
  • Most Bangalore lounges are 080-operated contract lounges rather than airline-branded, so the membership matters more than your airline.
  • Check the per-lounge page for your exact card — coverage varies between the T1 and T2 080 lounges.
02

Mind the terminal

  • Terminal 2 handles most international flights and has the larger lounge field; Terminal 1 is mostly domestic.
  • Pick a lounge in the terminal you're flying from — the two terminals are separate buildings.
  • If you're connecting between terminals, allow time for the transfer before relying on a lounge.
03

Pay-in and VIP options

  • The 080 VIP lounges are quieter, higher-tier pay-in alternatives to the busy standard 080 lounges, with table-side dining and shower suites.
  • Walk-in day passes are sold at the VIP and arrivals lounges, so you can get in without any membership.
  • Booking ahead online is usually cheaper than paying at the door and helps at the smaller-capacity VIP lounges.
04

Arrivals and timing

  • The 080 Arrival lounges are for travellers landing, not departing — handy to freshen up after a long-haul flight.
  • Bangalore's late-evening international departure bank fills the T2 lounges; go earlier if you want a seat.
  • The VIP lounges have small capacities (around 20–50 guests), so they can reach capacity quickly at peak.
