The Virgin Australia Lounge is Canberra Airport's lounge for travellers flying Virgin, airside on the domestic side of the terminal. The 1,082-square-metre space was designed by architect Tim Greer of Tonkin Zulaikha Greer and is one of the more striking regional lounges in the country: natural stone flooring, comfortable leather armchairs and wooden dividers that carve out a sense of privacy, all wrapped around a panoramic view over the tarmac. It welcomes up to around 300 guests, so it has room to breathe even at the morning and late-afternoon peaks. Access is for Virgin Australia lounge members, Velocity Gold and Platinum frequent flyers, and eligible passengers flying Virgin. Inside you'll find complimentary snacks and finger food alongside a self-serve bar with wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks — a relaxed, well-designed place to settle before a domestic departure from Canberra.
Crowding · busy at peak but spacious
A comfortable place to get light work done before a flight, with Wi-Fi and plenty of seating, including more private nooks created by the wooden dividers. It isn't a dedicated business lounge, but the space and quieter corners make it workable for email and calls.
Complimentary snacks and finger food alongside a self-serve bar with wine, beer and spirits, plus soft drinks. It's a light offering aimed at a quick bite and a drink before a domestic flight rather than a full sit-down meal.
