The Star Alliance option on DTW's non-Delta side — quiet, with a hot buffet and a full bar.

About this lounge

The Lufthansa Lounge is the Star Alliance lounge in Detroit's Warren C. Evans Terminal, on the Departure Level between gates 7 and 8. Access is for Star Alliance Gold status passengers and travellers flying in Business Class, so it's narrower than its neighbour the Lufthansa Business Lounge, which also takes Priority Pass and oneworld. What you get in return is a quieter, more refined room: plush seating arranged for privacy, warm wood accents, contemporary art and large windows looking out over the tarmac. The atmosphere is calm and low-noise, suiting travellers who want to unwind or get some quiet work done. Catering is a hot and cold buffet with a full bar pouring wine, beer and spirits, plus soft drinks. It's airside after security and sits within the Evans Terminal, which has no airside connection to the McNamara side of the airport.

A quiet, comfortable place to work before a flight, with well-spaced seating and a calm, low-noise atmosphere. Good for email and focused light work, helped by the privacy, though it isn't a dedicated business lounge.
