Hamad International Airport Lounges

Hamad International Airport · Doha, Qatar

About DOH

Hamad International Airport (DOH) is the hub of Qatar Airways and a major oneworld gateway, and its lounge scene reflects that. The standout spaces are Qatar Airways' own lounges — Al Safwa First for First-class and oneworld Emerald passengers, and the large Al Mourjan Business lounges for Business-class and oneworld Sapphire travellers — alongside the Oryx and tiered Privilege Club lounges. For travellers without Qatar Airways status or a premium ticket, the Al Maha and Sleepover contract lounges accept Priority Pass and DragonPass, and several lounges sell pay-per-visit entry. Doha also runs a set of arrivals lounges for showering and eating after a long-haul landing, separate from the airside departure spaces.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Hamad International Airport lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Terminal guide

Hamad International Airport lounges by terminal.

DEP

Departures & Airside Concourses

Hamad International runs from a single large terminal with concourses spread around a central duty-free area. Almost all the departure lounges sit airside here. Qatar Airways and oneworld passengers are served by the Al Safwa First, Al Mourjan Business, Oryx and tiered Privilege Club lounges, while the Al Maha and Sleepover contract lounges open the door to Priority Pass and DragonPass holders.

  • Qatar Airways' own lounges (Al Safwa, Al Mourjan, Oryx) cluster around the central node and concourses
  • Al Maha and Sleepover contract lounges accept Priority Pass and DragonPass
  • Privilege Club tier lounges (Silver, Gold, Platinum & Gold, Mariner) serve Qatar Airways status holders
  • Al Mourjan splits across the main-terminal South lounge and the newer Garden lounge in the North node

Arrivals Lounges

Doha has a set of arrivals lounges for travellers landing rather than departing — a chance to shower, eat and regroup after a long-haul flight before heading into the city or to a connection. They sit either before or after passport control and are typically pay-per-visit or tied to a premium Qatar Airways ticket.

  • Separate from the airside departure lounges — these are for travellers who have just landed
  • Located either before or after immigration, so check which side you need
  • Pay-per-visit entry is available, with Business and First passengers often included
  • Useful for a shower and breakfast after an overnight long-haul into Doha

How to get into lounges at DOH.

Hamad International is a Qatar Airways and oneworld airport first — premium-cabin tickets and oneworld status open the best lounges. Priority Pass and DragonPass cover the Al Maha and Sleepover contract lounges, and several lounges (especially on the arrivals side) sell pay-per-visit entry.

Qatar Airways First & Business ticket

A Qatar Airways First-class ticket gets you into Al Safwa First; a Business-class ticket gets you into the Al Mourjan Business lounges. This is the most direct route to the flagship lounges at DOH.

Al Maha
Insider tips

Know before you go.

01

Lead with your ticket and status

  • DOH is built around Qatar Airways and oneworld — your cabin and tier open the best lounges before any membership does.
  • Al Safwa First is for First-class and oneworld Emerald; Al Mourjan Business is for Business-class and oneworld Sapphire.
  • If you don't have status or a premium ticket, the Al Maha contract lounges on Priority Pass or DragonPass are your route in.
02

Departures vs arrivals

  • Most lounges are airside in the departures concourses, after security and passport control.
  • The arrivals lounges are for travellers who have just landed — useful for a shower and breakfast, not for departing passengers.
  • Some arrivals lounges sit before immigration and some after, so confirm which side you need.
03

Mind the North node

  • Hamad's newer Garden lounges sit in the North node, a walk from the central duty-free area.
  • Al Mourjan splits between the main-terminal South lounge and the Garden lounge in the North node — pick the one nearer your gate.
  • Allow time to walk between concourses; the terminal is large and spread out.
04

Time your visit

  • Doha's big connecting banks (early morning and late evening) can crowd the Al Mourjan and contract lounges.
  • Al Safwa First is rarely busy thanks to its small eligible pool — a calm option if you qualify.
  • Arrive with time to spare; the terminal is open 24 hours but the walk to a far concourse adds up.
