Helsinki's most flexible lounge — Priority Pass, alliance status or walk in, with runway views.

About this lounge

The Plaza Premium Lounge is Helsinki Airport's most flexible lounge and the obvious choice if you don't have Finnair status. It sits airside on the non-Schengen side, serving passengers departing to destinations outside Europe's Schengen zone on a pay-in basis, while also accepting Priority Pass, Star Alliance and oneworld access. Spanning 445 square metres, it accommodates around 140 guests, with panoramic runway views, power outlets at every seat and fast Wi-Fi throughout. As the only lounge at HEL that combines membership, alliance status and walk-in entry under one roof, it's the default recommendation for most travellers heading long-haul or non-Schengen out of Helsinki.

A genuinely workable spot before a flight, with power at every seat, fast Wi-Fi and seating you can use for a laptop. Fine for email, calls and focused work, though it isn't a dedicated business centre.

Insider tips

Make the most of it.

01

Booking entry online ahead of time is usually cheaper than paying at the door.

02

This lounge is on the non-Schengen side — it won't help if you're flying within the Schengen Area.

03

Power is at every seat, so you don't need to hunt for an outlet.

04

Arrive early around the long-haul departure banks to be sure of a runway-view seat.

05

Priority Pass, Star Alliance and oneworld all work here, so it covers more travellers than the Finnair lounges.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Yes — Priority Pass is accepted at the Plaza Premium Lounge on Helsinki's non-Schengen side. Check capacity at busy times.

Yes — entry is sold on a pay-in basis for passengers departing outside the Schengen zone; booking online ahead of time is usually cheaper than at the door.
