Kilimanjaro's flexible airside lounge — DragonPass, Priority Pass or walk-in, with showers and runway views.

About this lounge

Twiga Lounge by Aspire is the airside lounge at Kilimanjaro International Airport, tucked into the International Departure area on Level 1, on the left after passport control and security. It's the most flexible way into a lounge at JRO: DragonPass and Priority Pass holders are welcome, and anyone can buy a walk-in day pass — around 43.95 USD per guest for a three-hour stay, with children under two free. The lounge has a modern, African-inspired look with warm lighting, comfortable seating and large windows that look out over the runway. Facilities are well-rounded for a regional airport: hot and cold food, complimentary soft drinks, house wine, beer and spirits, showers, Wi-Fi, a children's area, a conference room and printing, plus air conditioning and step-free access. It rarely feels crowded, which makes it an easy place to settle in, work or freshen up before a long-haul or post-safari flight.

Insider tips

Make the most of it.

01

Booking or carrying DragonPass or Priority Pass gets you in; otherwise a walk-in day pass is around 43.95 USD per guest for three hours.

02

Use the shower early in your visit to avoid the peak around the evening departure bank.

03

Charge your devices on arrival — power outlets are available but can be in demand at busy times.

04

Grab a seat by the windows for the runway view and natural light.

05

Try the local Tanzanian dishes for a taste of the region before you fly.
