About PMI

Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is one of Spain's busiest airports and the gateway to the Balearics, and it runs all its lounges from a single main terminal split into boarding modules A to D. The lounge scene is contract-lounge style: a set of Sala VIP rooms — Formentor in Module D, Mediterráneo in Module C, Llevant in the non-Schengen Module A and Mestral in Module B — that take DragonPass and Priority Pass and, in most cases, sell walk-in entry to any passenger for a fee. The same physical rooms double as Palma's SkyTeam, oneworld and Star Alliance lounges, which is why several lounges appear more than once in our listings under different access routes. There's no standalone airline lounge here, so the most reliable way in is a DragonPass or Priority Pass membership, a pay-per-visit walk-in, or alliance status and a premium-cabin ticket. The Valldemosa Lounge, on the second floor opposite the Module C access, rounds out the oneworld options with showers and a relaxation room.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Palma de Mallorca Airport lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Where we'd actually go.

Best Overall

Sala VIP Formentor

Sala VIP Formentor in Module D has the widest access at PMI — DragonPass, Priority Pass and Star Alliance Gold all get you in, and it sells pay-per-visit entry too. Sitting airside in the boarding area, it's the most flexible single option for most departures.

Best for Pay-Per-Visit

Sala VIP Mediterraneo

Sala VIP Mediterraneo in Module C admits all passengers for a fee regardless of cabin, on top of DragonPass, Priority Pass and Star Alliance access. It's the clearest walk-in choice if you don't hold a membership or status.

Most Comfortable

Sala VIP Llevant

Sala VIP Llevant in Module A was remodelled in August 2025 with fresh decor, a spacious seating area, showers, a business centre with small conference rooms and a family room. It serves non-Schengen departures and takes DragonPass and Priority Pass.

Best for oneworld

Valldemosa Lounge

The Valldemosa Lounge, on the second floor opposite the Module C access, is a oneworld lounge for Sapphire status and business-class passengers, with showers and a relaxation room — a quieter option away from the main module clusters.

MOD-CD

Modules C & D (Mediterráneo and Formentor)

Modules C and D hold most of Palma's lounges. The Formentor lounge sits airside in Module D's boarding area, and the Mediterráneo lounge is in Module C after security. Because PMI's lounges are shared rooms with several access labels, you'll see Formentor and Mediterráneo listed separately for DragonPass/Priority Pass walk-ins, for SkyTeam, and for oneworld — they describe the same physical spaces reached by different access routes.

  • Formentor (Module D) takes DragonPass, Priority Pass and Star Alliance, plus SkyTeam and oneworld status
  • Mediterráneo (Module C) covers DragonPass, Priority Pass and Star Alliance walk-ins, plus SkyTeam and oneworld
  • Sala VIP Mediterraneo admits all passengers for a fee — the easiest pay-per-visit door
  • All sit airside after security; Valldemosa is just above, opposite the Module C access
MOD-AB

Modules A & B (Llevant and Mestral)

Module A is the non-Schengen boarding area, home to the Llevant lounge — remodelled in 2025 with showers, a business centre and a family room — reachable on DragonPass and Priority Pass or, for oneworld passengers, listed as the Llevant Lounge. Module B holds the smaller Mestral VIP Lounge, opposite Gate B32, which takes DragonPass and sells pay-per-visit entry.

  • Sala VIP Llevant (Module A) serves non-Schengen flights — DragonPass and Priority Pass
  • Llevant Lounge is the same Module A space for oneworld Sapphire and business-class passengers
  • Mestral VIP Lounge (Module B, opposite Gate B32) is DragonPass and pay-per-visit, with a four-hour cap
  • Llevant added showers and a business centre in its August 2025 refit
Access guide

How to get into lounges at PMI.

Palma de Mallorca is a DragonPass and Priority Pass airport at heart — those memberships open the airside Sala VIP lounges, several of which also sell walk-in entry to any passenger for a fee. The same rooms serve as PMI's SkyTeam, oneworld and Star Alliance lounges, so status and business-class passengers use them too. There's no single dedicated airline lounge here; access is contract-lounge style across modules A to D.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass is accepted at the widest set of PMI lounges, including Sala VIP Formentor (Module D), Sala VIP Mediterraneo (Module C), Sala VIP Llevant (Module A, non-Schengen) and Mestral VIP Lounge (Module B). It's the single most useful membership here.

Lounge membership

Priority Pass

Priority Pass works at Sala VIP Formentor, Sala VIP Mediterraneo and Sala VIP Llevant. Coverage is slightly narrower than DragonPass — Mestral is DragonPass-only — so check the per-lounge page and your departure module before you clear security.

Walk-in day pass

Several Palma lounges sell entry to any passenger for a fee regardless of cabin, including Sala VIP Mediterraneo, Sala VIP Formentor, Sala VIP Llevant and Mestral. Booking ahead is usually cheaper than paying at the door, and a four-hour stay limit applies.

Airline status

Airline & alliance access

PMI's lounges double as the SkyTeam, oneworld and Star Alliance lounges. SkyTeam Elite Plus, oneworld Sapphire and Star Alliance Gold passengers — and those in business or first — are admitted to the matching module's lounge based on their flight.

Business & First class ticket

A business- or first-class ticket on a SkyTeam, oneworld or Star Alliance carrier admits you to that alliance's PMI lounge directly — the simplest route if you're flying premium out of Palma, with no membership needed.

Insider tips

Know before you go.

01

Know your module

  • PMI's lounges sit in different boarding modules (A to D) — check which module your gate is in before choosing a lounge.
  • Module A is the non-Schengen area, so the Llevant lounge there only suits flights outside the Schengen zone.
  • Formentor is in Module D, Mediterráneo and Valldemosa around Module C, and Mestral in Module B opposite Gate B32.
02

Same room, different label

  • Several Palma lounges appear more than once — as a Sala VIP for DragonPass/Priority Pass and again as a SkyTeam or oneworld lounge — because they're shared rooms reached by different access routes.
  • If you hold a membership and also have status, you'll end up in the same physical lounge either way; pick whichever access is easier.
  • The Sala VIP names (Formentor, Llevant, Mediterráneo, Mestral) are the operator's branding for the contract lounges.
03

Pay-per-visit works here

  • Sala VIP Mediterraneo admits all passengers for a fee regardless of cabin — the easiest walk-in if you have no membership.
  • Booking a lounge slot online ahead of time is usually cheaper than paying at the door.
  • A four-hour stay limit applies at the Sala VIP lounges, so time your visit to your departure.
04

Timing and comfort

  • Palma is a summer holiday hub — the early-morning and evening departure peaks fill the lounges fast, so arrive early for a seat.
  • Sala VIP Llevant was remodelled in August 2025 and has showers and a family room — useful with kids or before a long flight.
  • Lounge hours run roughly 05:00–midnight; the exact close varies by lounge, so check before a late departure.
FAQ

Frequently asked, frequently answered.

We track 9 lounge listings at Palma de Mallorca (PMI), all in the single main terminal across modules A to D. Several are the same physical Sala VIP rooms listed under more than one access route — DragonPass and Priority Pass on one hand, SkyTeam, oneworld and Star Alliance on the other.

Yes. Priority Pass is accepted at Sala VIP Formentor (Module D), Sala VIP Mediterraneo (Module C) and Sala VIP Llevant (Module A, non-Schengen). DragonPass covers an even wider set, including the Mestral VIP Lounge in Module B, so if you hold both, DragonPass opens the most doors.

Yes. Several of the Sala VIP lounges sell walk-in entry to any passenger for a fee, regardless of cabin — Sala VIP Mediterraneo is the clearest example. Booking online ahead of time is usually cheaper than paying at the door, and a four-hour stay limit applies.

For the widest access, Sala VIP Formentor in Module D works on DragonPass, Priority Pass and Star Alliance and also sells pay-per-visit entry. For comfort, Sala VIP Llevant in Module A was remodelled in 2025 with showers, a business centre and a family room.

Palma's lounges are shared contract rooms that serve several access programs. The same physical space appears as a Sala VIP for DragonPass and Priority Pass holders and again as a SkyTeam, oneworld or Star Alliance lounge for status and business-class passengers. They are the same rooms reached by different routes.

Yes. DragonPass has the broadest coverage at PMI, accepted at Sala VIP Formentor, Sala VIP Mediterraneo, Sala VIP Llevant and the Mestral VIP Lounge. It's the single most useful lounge membership to carry at Palma.

The Llevant lounge in Module A serves the non-Schengen boarding area. It's reachable on DragonPass and Priority Pass, and oneworld Sapphire and business-class passengers can use it too. It was refreshed in August 2025 and has showers and a family room.

Some do. Sala VIP Llevant in Module A added showers in its 2025 refit, and the Valldemosa Lounge opposite Module C also lists shower facilities. The other lounges focus on seating, food and drink rather than showers, so check the lounge page if a shower matters.
