VIP Club 5
TAO · Terminal 1 · airside
Qingdao's airside international lounge — for passengers on a handful of named carriers.
VIP Club 5 — signed as International VIP CLUB5 — is an airside lounge on the international side of Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. To reach it, walk straight for about 100 metres after clearing customs, the security check and border control, then take the escalator up on the right. The key thing to know is its access rule: DragonPass, Priority Pass and LoungeKey members may only use VIP Club 5 when their actual flight is on Air Busan, All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific or Korean Air. Passengers on any other airline are directed to VIP CLUB2 instead. Inside, it's an air-conditioned space with a cold spread, a full bar with house wine, beer and spirits, soft drinks, a TV, newspapers and flight screens. Stays are capped at around two hours.
Crowding · usually quiet
A workable spot for light tasks before a flight, with Wi-Fi, power and air conditioning, but no dedicated work facilities. Fine for email and a quick call rather than focused desk work.
A cold spread of snacks and light bites paired with a notably full bar — house wine, beer and spirits — plus complimentary soft drinks. The drinks line-up is more generous than the food, making it a comfortable spot for a pre-flight drink on the international side.
