Shenzhen Bao'an Airport Lounges

Bao'an International Airport · Shenzhen, China Mainland

Shenzhen Bao'an International (SZX) runs all 12 of its lounges from Terminal 3, split between the domestic concourse and the international satellite hall reached after passport control. Most are independent or China Southern lounges opened on DragonPass or Priority Pass, with a handful selling walk-in entry, so membership matters more than your airline here.

About SZX

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX) runs all 12 of the lounges we track from Terminal 3, its single passenger terminal. They split between the domestic concourse, which holds the larger cluster, and the international satellite hall reached after passport control and security. Most are independent VIP lounges in the DragonPass network or China Southern lounges that also take Priority Pass, with a few Shenzhen Airlines King Lounges and pay-in options. China Southern is the dominant carrier and runs its own lounges for premium-cabin and SkyTeam status passengers, while Shenzhen Airlines serves Star Alliance flyers. If you're departing internationally, clear immigration before looking for your lounge; on the domestic side, most lounges sit airside after the security check, with the C24 Business VIP Lounge landside at the check-in islands. A DragonPass or Priority Pass membership is the most reliable way in at Shenzhen.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Bao'an International Airport lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Access guide

How to get into lounges at SZX.

Shenzhen Bao'an is a DragonPass and Priority Pass airport first — those two memberships unlock almost every lounge in Terminal 3. China Southern, the dominant carrier, runs its own lounges for premium-cabin and SkyTeam status passengers, and several lounges also sell walk-in entry. Always check whether your lounge is on the domestic or international side, since the international lounges sit beyond passport control.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass is accepted at the widest set of SZX lounges, including the airside International Business VIP Lounge, the VIP Service lounges on the domestic side and the China Southern Sky Pearl Club. It's the single most useful membership at Shenzhen.

Priority Pass

Priority Pass opens China Southern's lounges in Terminal 3 — the First/Business Lounge, the Gold/Silver/Elite Plus Lounge and International VIP Lounge 1. Coverage is narrower than DragonPass, so confirm your specific lounge before you travel.

Airline status

Airline & alliance lounges

China Southern (SkyTeam) runs the main airline lounges at its Shenzhen base for premium-cabin passengers and SkyTeam Elite Plus members, while Shenzhen Airlines (Star Alliance) operates its own King Lounges. Access follows your ticket and frequent-flyer tier.

Insider tips

Know before you go.

01

Lead with DragonPass

  • DragonPass covers more SZX lounges than Priority Pass — if you only carry one, it's the better bet at Shenzhen.
  • Many Shenzhen lounges are independent VIP lounges rather than airline-branded, so the membership matters more than your airline.
  • Priority Pass here mainly opens China Southern's lounges in Terminal 3 — check which side your flight departs from.
02

Domestic vs international

  • The international lounges sit airside in the satellite hall, reached after passport control and security — clear immigration first.
  • The domestic side holds the larger cluster of lounges, mostly airside after the domestic security check.
  • The C24 Business VIP Lounge is landside at check-in island C on Level 4, useful before you go through security.
03

Find your lounge by gate

  • The International Business VIP Lounge sits opposite Gate 9 after passport control.
  • On the domestic side, the China Southern Sky Pearl Club is opposite Gate 27 and VIP Service domestic Lounge 2 is opposite Gate 39.
  • Lounge signage in Terminal 3 is bilingual, but allow extra time to find the satellite-hall lounges on the international side.
04

Timing & crowds

  • China Southern's lounges are busiest at peak hours; the larger Gold/Silver/Elite Plus Lounge is built to absorb the crowds.
  • Shenzhen is a major domestic hub, so the domestic lounges fill around the morning and evening business banks.
  • If your first-choice lounge is full, the VIP Service lounges on the domestic side are reliable DragonPass fallbacks.
