The Plaza Premium Lounge at Taipei Songshan opened in January 2025, adding a much-needed independent lounge to the Taiwanese capital's compact downtown airport. Run by the Plaza Premium Group, the world's largest independent airport lounge operator, it sits airside on the third floor of Terminal 1's international departures area, near Gate 8. It welcomes all travellers on a pay-in basis regardless of airline or class of service, and also accepts Priority Pass. The lounge is a windowless box, but the decor is warm and cosy, with comfortable seats, plenty of booths and semi-private nooks, and power outlets to recharge your devices. As is usual for Plaza Premium, the food is the star: grab a snack from the buffet or order a complimentary made-to-order hot dish from the open kitchen. A two-hour maximum stay applies, and children under two are admitted free.
