About RGN

Yangon International Airport (RGN) is Myanmar's busiest gateway, and we track four lounges across its terminals. Three sit in the International Terminal: the Mingalar Sky Lounge, which is the alliance option open to SkyTeam, Star Alliance and oneworld status passengers; the Royal Jade Lounge, a pay-in lounge after passport control; and the Myanmar Airways Sky Smile Lounge for that airline's premium-cabin flyers. The fourth is a separate Mingalar Sky Lounge in the Domestic Terminal near gate 25, which admits all passengers for a fee. There's no single membership that opens everything at Yangon, so the right route depends on your ticket: alliance status for the International Terminal Mingalar Sky Lounge, a pay-in payment for the Royal Jade and domestic lounges, and a Myanmar Airways premium ticket for the Sky Smile Lounge. Because the terminals are separate, always match your lounge to the terminal you're flying from.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Yangon International Airport lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Match the lounge to your terminal

  • If you're connecting from a domestic flight to an international one, you'll change terminals — plan the transfer time.

02

Pick the right access route

  • Carrying SkyTeam, Star Alliance or oneworld status? The International Terminal's Mingalar Sky Lounge is your lounge.
  • No status? The Royal Jade Lounge sells pay-in entry, and the Domestic Terminal's Mingalar Sky Lounge admits all passengers for a fee.
  • Flying Myanmar Airways in a premium cabin? Use the airline's own Sky Smile Lounge.
03

Make the most of Mingalar Sky

  • The International Terminal Mingalar Sky Lounge is the most complete option, with showers, a hot buffet and runway views.
  • Arrive early if you want a window seat for the runway views, which fill up at the evening departure peak.
  • Showers here are worth using to freshen up before a long-haul flight out of Yangon.
04

Timing and hours

  • The International Terminal Mingalar Sky Lounge keeps published hours of roughly 05:00–22:00, so it isn't a round-the-clock option.

  • Always keep your boarding pass handy; it's checked at the lounge entrance.
