About YIA

Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) at Kulon Progo is the main gateway for Yogyakarta, having taken over from the older Adisucipto airport. Its lounge offering is small and built around the Concordia brand, with two domestic-side lounges either side of the security checkpoint. The airside Concordia Lounge sits past security on the third-floor departures level opposite Gate 3A and is reachable on Priority Pass, while the landside Concordia Lounge is before the checkpoint near Gate 3 and accepts DragonPass. Both are pay-per-visit independents that also sell a walk-in day pass, so you don't need airline status to get in. Each opens 05:00 to 20:00 daily and caps stays at around three hours, with showers, Wi-Fi and complimentary snacks. Because the two lounges are on opposite sides of security, pick the one that matches your membership before you clear the checkpoint.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Yogyakarta International Airport lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Where we'd actually go.

Best Overall

Concordia Lounge

The airside Concordia Lounge on the domestic departures floor is the most useful option at YIA — it sits past security opposite Gate 3A, accepts Priority Pass and sells walk-in entry, and adds showers and a quiet area to the usual snacks-and-Wi-Fi setup.

Best Before Security

Concordia Lounge(Domestic)

The landside Concordia Lounge sits before the security check on the third floor near Gate 3 and takes DragonPass. It's the better choice if you arrive early and want to settle in before clearing the checkpoint, with a children's play area and nursing room.

Best for Families

Concordia Lounge(Domestic)

The landside Concordia Lounge is the family-friendly pick at YIA, with a children's play area and a dedicated nursing room alongside showers and Wi-Fi. Reachable on DragonPass or a walk-in day pass before you clear security.

Access guide

How to get into lounges at YIA.

Yogyakarta's lounges are pay-per-visit independents rather than airline lounges, so access here is about which membership you carry — or simply paying at the door. Priority Pass opens the airside Concordia Lounge past security, DragonPass opens the landside Concordia Lounge before the checkpoint, and both sell a walk-in day pass. Check whether your lounge is airside or landside before you clear security, because the two don't connect once you're through.

Lounge membership

Priority Pass

Priority Pass is accepted at the airside Concordia Lounge on the domestic departures floor, opposite Gate 3A. Present your membership card with your boarding pass; guest and visit terms follow your Priority Pass plan.

DragonPass

DragonPass opens the landside Concordia Lounge before the security check, near Gate 3 on the third floor. It's the membership to carry if you want to use the lounge before clearing the checkpoint.

Both Concordia lounges are purchasable, so you can pay per visit at the door without any membership or airline status. This is the simplest route in if you don't hold Priority Pass or DragonPass.

Insider tips

Know before you go.

01

Airside vs landside

  • YIA's two Concordia lounges are on opposite sides of the security checkpoint — pick the right one before you go through.
  • The airside lounge (Priority Pass) is opposite Gate 3A after security; the landside lounge (DragonPass) is near Gate 3 before it.
  • Once you clear security you can't go back to the landside lounge, so plan around the side that matches your membership.
02

Match your membership

  • Priority Pass gets you the airside Concordia Lounge; DragonPass gets you the landside one — they don't overlap here.
  • If you hold neither, both lounges sell a walk-in day pass, so you can still pay your way in.
  • Concordia lounges cap stays at around three hours, so time your arrival with your boarding.
03

Timing and hours

  • Both lounges open 05:00 and close 20:00 daily — there's no overnight lounge access at YIA.
  • If you have an early-morning departure, the 05:00 opening lines up with the first bank of domestic flights.
  • Late-evening flights after 20:00 fall outside lounge hours, so plan to use the terminal instead.
04

Know the airport

  • YIA at Kulon Progo replaced the older Adisucipto airport as Yogyakarta's main gateway and is well out of the city centre.
  • Build in extra travel time from central Yogyakarta — the airport rail link and road transfer both take a while.
  • Both lounges are on the domestic side, so they suit domestic departures rather than international connections.
