Rarotonga's only lounge — Air New Zealand's bright, calm space with showers, a buffet and runway views.

About this lounge

The Air New Zealand International Lounge is Rarotonga's single airport lounge, located airside on the departure level once you've cleared security and immigration. It's Air New Zealand's own lounge at its Cook Islands gateway, so entry is tied to the airline rather than an independent membership: Business Premier passengers, eligible Air New Zealand frequent flyers, and Star Alliance Gold members travelling internationally can use it. The space is bright and airy, built to welcome around 50 guests, with two full window walls that give wide views over the runway and the mountains behind it. Inside there's a complimentary cold and hot buffet, a full bar with soft drinks, shower facilities to freshen up before a long flight, and a calm, comfortable seating area. With most international departures from Rarotonga being long-haul services to Auckland and beyond, it's a welcome place to relax before boarding — provided your ticket or status gets you in.

A quiet, comfortable spot to catch up on email before a flight, with power near the seating and business services on hand. It isn't a dedicated business lounge, and dedicated desk space is limited, but it's calm enough for light work and calls.

Catering is complimentary and self-service, with both a cold and a hot buffet alongside a full bar and soft drinks. The selection leans toward fresh, Pacific-inspired bites rather than an extensive menu, which suits a relaxed wait before a long-haul departure.
