About HFE

Hefei Xinqiao International Airport (HFE) keeps its lounges inside one main terminal, split between a busier domestic departures area and a smaller international zone. The six lounges we track are a mix of First Class lounges and independent contract lounges, reachable on SkyTeam status, Star Alliance status, DragonPass or Priority Pass, plus a dedicated China Eastern lounge for that carrier's premium passengers. The NO.1 First Class Lounge has the widest access — SkyTeam, Star Alliance and Priority Pass all work there — and is the only HFE lounge listed as open 24 hours. DragonPass holders are best served by First Class Lounge 1 airside or the landside CIP Lounge, several lounges also sell a pay-in day pass, and the International No.4 lounge opens only during international flight times. Check whether your lounge sits in the domestic area, the international zone or landside before you clear security.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Hefei Xinqiao International Airport(formerlyHefei Luogang International Airport) lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Access guide

How to get into lounges at HFE.

Hefei Xinqiao is an alliance-and-membership airport: SkyTeam and Star Alliance status open the First Class lounges, while DragonPass and Priority Pass cover the contract lounges. A few lounges also sell a pay-in day pass, and China Eastern runs its own lounge for premium passengers. Check whether your lounge is in the domestic area, the international zone or landside before you clear security.

Airline status

SkyTeam status & premium cabin

SkyTeam Elite Plus status or a Business/First Class ticket reaches the NO.1 First Class Lounge, the China Eastern No. 2 Lounge and the International No.4 First Class Lounge. China Eastern's lounge is limited to passengers flying China Eastern as the operating carrier.

Insider tips

Know before you go.

01

Lead with the NO.1 lounge

  • The NO.1 First Class Lounge has the widest access at HFE — SkyTeam, Star Alliance and Priority Pass all work there.
  • It's the only HFE lounge listed as open 24 hours, useful for early or late domestic departures.
  • It sits in the domestic departures area opposite Gate A09.
02

Airside vs landside

  • Most Hefei lounges are airside, after security — clear the checkpoint first.
  • The CIP Lounge is landside, before passport control near the door 2 check-in area, handy if you arrive early.
  • The International No.4 lounge only opens during international flight times, so it won't help on a domestic departure.
03

Match the lounge to your access

  • DragonPass holders should head for First Class Lounge 1 (airside) or the landside CIP Lounge.
  • The China Eastern No. 2 Lounge is limited to passengers actually flying China Eastern.
  • Several lounges sell a pay-in day pass if you don't hold the right membership or status.
04

Mind the timing

  • Most contract lounges run roughly 06:30–22:00, so an overnight wait may leave only the 24-hour NO.1 lounge open.
  • The China Eastern lounge opens in the evening and closes when that airline's last outbound flight departs.
  • Hefei is a regional airport, so lounges are smaller and quieter than at the big Chinese hubs.
