About PVR

Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) keeps its lounge scene small and simple. There are two lounges, both carrying the VIP Lounge name and both running on the same access model: Priority Pass membership or a pay-per-visit fee open to any passenger, whatever your cabin or airline. The airside VIP Lounge sits on the upper level near Gates 10 and 12 and is the one to use before an international departure, adding a shower, internet workstations and a conference room to the standard complimentary food and bar. The landside VIP Lounge is on the first floor of the arrivals level, just past Customs, and works as a place to regroup after you land. There are no airline or alliance lounges at PVR, so Priority Pass and pay-per-visit entry are the two ways in. Both lounges cap stays at three hours, admit children under 7 free and lend out an iPad during your visit.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Puerto Vallarta Intl lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Best for Pay-Per-Visit

VIP Lounge Puerto Vallarta International

Both PVR lounges admit any passenger for a fee, but the airside international lounge is the better-equipped pay-in option — you can buy entry at the door without Priority Pass or status and still get the bar, Wi-Fi, a shower and a conference room. Insider tips

Know before you go.

01

Pick the right lounge for your direction

  • Departing internationally? Use the airside VIP Lounge near Gates 10 and 12 after security.
  • Just landed? The arrivals VIP Lounge is landside on the first floor, just past Customs on the right.
  • The airside lounge is the only one with a shower, which is worth knowing before a long flight home.
02

Pay-per-visit always works

  • Both lounges admit any passenger for a fee, so you don't need Priority Pass or status to get in.
  • If your Priority Pass visits are used up, paying at the door is still an option at either lounge.
  • Children under 7 are admitted free, which helps if you're travelling with young kids.
03

Know the limits

  • Each lounge caps your stay at three hours, so time your arrival with your boarding in mind.
  • At the airside lounge, complimentary alcoholic drinks are limited to four per adult.
  • Lounge hours are shorter than the airport's — both open from 10:00 and close in the evening, so an early-morning flight may land before opening.
04

What you get inside

  • Both lounges offer complimentary snacks, soft drinks, house wine, beer and liquor.
  • Wi-Fi, air conditioning, flight information and an iPad to borrow are available at both.
  • The airside international lounge adds internet workstations and a conference room if you need to work.
