About XIY

Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (XIY) is the main gateway for central China's Shaanxi province, and its 12 lounges are spread across three domestic terminals. Most are airline-branded or independent contract lounges reachable on DragonPass, which opens the widest set of doors here; Priority Pass covers a smaller number, and several lounges sell a walk-in pay-in entry. Terminal 3 holds the densest cluster, including the First Class & VIP Lounge that takes both DragonPass and Priority Pass, the airside China Eastern and South Airline Pearl lounges, and rest-focused Time to Nap and Take a Nap spaces. Terminal 2 has a group of Hainan, Shenzhen Airlines and pay-in lounges, while Terminal 1 has a single Hainan-operated lounge. Because some lounges sit landside and others airside, always check the side and terminal of your lounge before clearing security.

How we compile this guide

Sourced, never sponsored.

This guide is compiled from airline, alliance and lounge-operator sources plus published access rules from Priority Pass and DragonPass — we haven't independently visited every Xianyang International Airport lounge yet. Nothing here is a paid placement, and the guide is updated as lounges open, close, renovate or change access policies. Read more about how we verify lounge data.

Best Overall

First Class&VIP Lounge

The First Class & VIP Lounge in Terminal 3 has the broadest access of any XIY lounge — both DragonPass and Priority Pass get you in, and it sells pay-in entry too. It sits landside near exit 324, so it works for the widest range of travellers before security.

Best Airline Lounge

V39 China Eastern Airlines First Class Lounge

The V39 China Eastern Airlines First Class Lounge sits airside in Terminal 3 opposite gate H34. It serves China Eastern passengers and is also reachable on DragonPass, with a hot and cold spread and complimentary drinks — the most consistent branded lounge at XIY.

Best for Priority Pass

Simple Business Club & VIP Lounge V33

The Simple Business Club & VIP Lounge V33 in Terminal 3 takes Priority Pass and walk-in pay-in guests, with a hot and cold buffet near gates H40–H60. A reliable Priority Pass option on the Terminal 3 airside concourse.

Best for Resting

Time to Nap Lounge (T3 Domestic)

The Time to Nap Lounge in Terminal 3 is built around sleep pods for travellers who just want to rest between flights. Reachable on DragonPass, it's the pick if a quiet lie-down matters more than a buffet.

Access guide

How to get into lounges at XIY.

Xi'an Xianyang is a DragonPass airport first and foremost — that membership opens the widest set of lounges across all three terminals. Priority Pass covers a smaller number, several lounges sell a walk-in pay-in entry, and the airline-branded lounges also admit their own premium-cabin passengers. Always check whether your lounge is landside or airside, and which terminal it's in, before you clear security.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass is accepted at the widest set of XIY lounges, including the airside Hainan Airlines VIP Lounge (T2), the China Eastern and South Airline Pearl lounges (T3) and the Time to Nap rest lounge. It's the single most useful membership to carry at Xi'an Xianyang.

DragonPass

Priority Pass

Priority Pass works at the Terminal 3 First Class & VIP Lounge and the Simple Business Club & VIP Lounge V33. Coverage is narrower than DragonPass here, so confirm your specific lounge and terminal before you travel.

Walk-in pay-in entry

Several Xi'an Xianyang lounges sell entry at the door, including the Hainan Airlines Lounge No 7, the SBC Lounge No 5A and the Shenzhen Airlines King Lounge in Terminal 2, plus the Take a Nap rest lounges. You can pay per visit without a membership or airline status.

Airline lounges

Many XIY lounges are airline-branded and admit their own premium passengers: Hainan Airlines (Fortune Wings, Hainan VIP, Hainan No 7), China Eastern (V39 First Class), China Southern (South Airline Pearl) and Shenzhen Airlines, which also serves Star Alliance partners. Access follows your ticket and frequent-flyer tier.

Insider tips

Know before you go.

01

Lead with DragonPass

  • DragonPass covers more XIY lounges than Priority Pass — if you only carry one membership, it's the better bet at Xi'an Xianyang.
  • Many lounges are airline-branded rather than independent, so your airline can matter as much as your membership card.
  • The First Class & VIP Lounge in Terminal 3 is the one spot that takes both DragonPass and Priority Pass.
02

Mind landside vs airside

  • Several lounges, including the Terminal 3 First Class & VIP Lounge and the Take a Nap rest lounges, sit landside before security — use them before you clear the checkpoint.
  • Airside lounges such as the Hainan VIP (T2) and China Eastern (T3) are only reachable after security, so plan which side you want to be on.
  • Once you're through security you can't drop back landside, so settle your lounge choice before the checkpoint.
03

Know your terminal

  • XIY's lounges are split across three domestic terminals — match your lounge to the terminal your flight departs from.
  • Terminal 3 has the most lounges and the most access options; Terminal 1 has just the Fortune Wings Lounge.
  • If you're connecting between terminals, build in extra time for the transfer before counting on a lounge stay.
04

Just need to rest?

  • The Time to Nap and Take a Nap lounges are built around sleep pods rather than a buffet — pick them if a lie-down matters more than food.
  • Take a Nap rest lounges are charged by the hour, so they suit short rests between flights.
  • Pod privacy is limited as they sit in open space, but you'll have room to stretch out and sleep.
