PP coverage at PEK is narrower than DragonPass — BGS Premier Lounge at T2 is the primary PP-direct option. Some walk-in lounges accept PP at off-peak hours (confirm at reception). Comfort Zone T2 + T3E are PP-eligible spas (complimentary treatments).

DragonPass is the dominant contract lounge program at PEK — broad coverage at T2 (CIPB2, V6, Barcelo, Hainan VIP) and T3 (CIP International, Trvok A1, Airport Club A2). Common bundled benefit with Chinese and Asian premium credit cards.

Air China runs a tiered lounge family at T3 — First Class Lounge (3F E20, top), First/Business Class (4F C31-32), Domestic F&B (T3C 2F). Access for Air China premium passengers, Phoenix Miles Gold/Platinum, and Star Alliance Gold on Air China-operated flights.

Cathay Pacific Lounge at T3 (Level 3 next to E20) is the oneworld flagship at PEK — reopened August 2025 with a tea house, noodle bar, and Cathay's signature residential design. Open to any oneworld Sapphire+ on an eligible oneworld carrier flight.

SkyTeam Elite Plus access at PEK is via China Eastern V2 Lounge (T2 Domestic) and Air China Business Class Lounge T2 (multi-alliance contract). Major SkyTeam carriers have shifted to Beijing Daxing (PKX) — fewer SkyTeam departures at PEK now than pre-2019.

Trvok CIP International Lounge (T2 near Gate 12), Airport Easy Lounge (T2 Domestic), and several CIPs/DragonPass lounges sell walk-in passes. Joy Rest at T3E is a sleep-pod hotel with hourly rates. Typical lounge walk-in 300–400 RMB (~US$42–56).

PEK has free public seating with charging at gate clusters in T2 and T3. Free PEK Wi-Fi via SMS verification (Chinese phone numbers work seamlessly; international numbers may need workarounds). No common-use free lounges. T3-E observation areas have comfortable seating.

Timing & Crowds

• —T3 international peaks 11pm–2am for long-haul departures to Europe and the US, plus 7am–9am for inbound transit. Air China First Class Lounge is calmer pre-peak (8pm–10pm).
• —T2 peaks vary by carrier — China Eastern V2 is busiest mornings 6am–9am (MU domestic). Off-peak afternoons are genuinely calm.
• —Cathay Pacific Lounge tracks CX departure timing — typically 5pm and 11pm. Off-peak the lounge is quiet enough to enjoy the tea house properly.

Maximising Priority Pass at PEK

• —BGS Premier Lounge (T2) is the only PP-direct option at PEK — most lounges accept DragonPass instead. If your card carries DragonPass, use the T2/T3 CIP network for far broader coverage.
• —Comfort Zone (T2 and T3E) are PP-eligible spas — present your PP card for complimentary treatments (often a 15-minute massage or foot bath).
• —Some walk-in lounges accept PP at off-peak hours — confirm at reception before paying.

Terminal Navigation

• —T1 has been closed since 2019. T2 and T3 are connected airside via the Inter-Terminal Train (IAT). Allow 15–20 minutes between T2 and T3 including walks.
• —T3 is split into T3-C (domestic), T3-D, and T3-E (long-haul international). T3-E is the furthest — APM ride from the main concourse, 5–8 minutes.
• —Many SkyTeam operations (AF, KL, DL, KE) have moved to Beijing Daxing (PKX, 70km south). Verify which Beijing airport your flight uses — easy to confuse.

Chinese Cuisine in Lounges

• —Air China First Class Lounge has the strongest Chinese kitchen at PEK — Beijing zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles), Peking duck rotation, dim sum. Best Chinese food in any PEK lounge.
• —Cathay Pacific Lounge's noodle bar focuses on Cantonese dishes (wonton noodles, dan dan) — a Cantonese counterpoint to Air China's Beijing focus.
• —DragonPass CIP lounges usually have hot Chinese mains — fried rice, mapo tofu, soup of the day. The Trvok A1 Lounge at T3 has the strongest CIP kitchen.
