Sobre AUH

Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) runs its passenger flights from Terminal A at Zayed International, the main terminal, and all of its lounges sit there — almost all airside after immigration and security. The field is led by alliance and airline access: SkyTeam Elite Plus opens the Al Reem and Al Dhabi SkyTeam lounges, Star Alliance Gold reaches the Al Dhabi Lounge, and oneworld Sapphire reaches the Al Reem Lounge. The independent Pearl Lounge adds Priority Pass on top of Star Alliance and oneworld, sitting airside on level 5. Etihad runs its own First Class lounge for premium-cabin passengers and Etihad Guest Platinum members, plus an arrivals Chauffeur Lounge near baggage claim, and the Diamond Lounge serves invited and protocol guests. Most travellers get in through airline status or a business- or first-class ticket; a couple of lounges are reachable on paid entry.

TERMINAL-A

Terminal A (Zayed International)

Abu Dhabi's passenger flights run from Terminal A at Zayed International, the airport's main terminal. All of AUH's lounges sit here, almost all airside after immigration and security. The independent Pearl Lounge (Priority Pass, Star Alliance, oneworld) and the alliance lounges — Al Dhabi for Star Alliance, Al Reem for oneworld, and the SkyTeam Al Reem and Al Dhabi lounges — cover status and business-class access, while Etihad runs its own First Class lounge and an arrivals Chauffeur Lounge, and the Diamond Lounge serves invited and protocol guests.

  • All AUH lounges are in Terminal A at Zayed International
  • Pearl Lounge takes Priority Pass, Star Alliance and oneworld
  • Alliance lounges cover SkyTeam, Star Alliance and oneworld status
  • Etihad runs its own First Class lounge plus an arrivals Chauffeur Lounge
Guia de acesso

Como entrar nas salas VIP em AUH.

Abu Dhabi is mostly a status-and-ticket airport: airline alliance membership and business- or first-class tickets open most of its lounges. SkyTeam, Star Alliance and oneworld each reach their aligned lounges, the Pearl Lounge adds Priority Pass on top of Star Alliance and oneworld, and Etihad runs its own premium-cabin lounge. A couple of lounges sell or arrange paid entry. Almost everything is airside in Terminal A, so clear immigration and security first.

Airline status

Airline & alliance lounges

SkyTeam Elite Plus opens the Al Reem and Al Dhabi SkyTeam lounges, Star Alliance Gold reaches the Al Dhabi Lounge and the Pearl Lounge, and oneworld Sapphire reaches the Al Reem Lounge and the Pearl Lounge. A business- or first-class ticket on the relevant alliance carrier works in place of status.

Priority Pass

Priority Pass is accepted at the Pearl Lounge in Terminal A, which sits airside on level 5 after passport control and security. It's the main independent-membership route into a lounge at AUH, so confirm the Pearl Lounge on your Priority Pass app before you travel.

Priority Pass
Premium cabin

Business & First class ticket

A premium-cabin ticket is the simplest way in at Abu Dhabi. Etihad First Class passengers and Etihad Guest Platinum members use the Etihad Airways First Class Lounge, and business- or first-class tickets on SkyTeam, Star Alliance and oneworld carriers open their respective alliance lounges without needing separate status.

Paid entry

A few AUH lounges are reachable on paid entry rather than status — including the Etihad First Class Lounge route and the Diamond Lounge, which serves invited and protocol guests. Check the per-lounge page for current paid-access terms, as availability and price vary.

Arrivals

Arrivals & chauffeur

The Etihad Chauffeur Lounge is an arrivals space near baggage claim for passengers who have booked Etihad's chauffeur service, offering light snacks and drinks while you wait. It's for inbound travellers, not departures, so don't plan a pre-flight visit there.

01

Lead with status or your ticket

  • Most AUH lounges open on alliance status or a business-/first-class ticket rather than a paid walk-in, so check your tier first.
  • If you're flying Etihad in First, the Etihad Airways First Class Lounge is the standout — a full-service restaurant rather than a buffet.
  • Carrying Priority Pass? The Pearl Lounge in Terminal A is your route in, and it also takes Star Alliance and oneworld.
02

Everything is in Terminal A

  • Abu Dhabi's passenger flights all run from Terminal A at Zayed International, so all the lounges are in one building.
  • Almost every lounge is airside, after immigration and security — clear the checkpoints before heading for the lounge.
  • The Pearl Lounge sits on level 5 after passport control, so allow a few minutes to reach it.
03

Match the lounge to your alliance

  • SkyTeam Elite Plus flyers have the Al Reem and Al Dhabi SkyTeam lounges; Star Alliance Gold has the Al Dhabi Lounge.
  • oneworld Sapphire passengers use the Al Reem Lounge, while the Pearl Lounge covers both Star Alliance and oneworld.
  • Several lounges share similar names (two Al Reem, two Al Dhabi) — check the access method, not just the name.
04

Arrivals vs departures

  • The Etihad Chauffeur Lounge is an arrivals lounge near baggage claim — a meetup point for Etihad's chauffeur service, not a pre-flight space.
  • The Diamond Lounge is a protocol-style lounge for invited and VIP guests rather than a standard pay-in lounge.
  • If you want a guaranteed sit-down before a flight, base your plan on the airside departure lounges in Terminal A.

All of them are in Terminal A at Zayed International, the airport's main passenger terminal. Abu Dhabi moved its passenger operations into Terminal A, so you won't need to change buildings to reach a lounge.

Yes. The Etihad Airways First Class Lounge serves Etihad First Class passengers and Etihad Guest Platinum members, with a full-service restaurant, a full bar and secluded seating. Etihad also runs a Chauffeur Lounge in the arrivals area for passengers using its chauffeur service.

SkyTeam Elite Plus passengers have the Al Reem and Al Dhabi SkyTeam lounges, Star Alliance Gold has the Al Dhabi Lounge, and oneworld Sapphire has the Al Reem Lounge. The independent Pearl Lounge covers both Star Alliance and oneworld as well as Priority Pass.

Yes for almost all of them. The departure lounges are airside, so you'll pass immigration and security first. The Etihad Chauffeur Lounge is the exception — it's in the arrivals area near baggage claim for inbound passengers.

The Etihad Chauffeur Lounge sits near baggage claim before customs and acts as the meetup point for Etihad's chauffeur service, with light snacks and drinks. It's for inbound passengers using that service rather than a general arrivals lounge.
