The Extime VIP Lounge opened in October 2024 in Almaty's new, state-of-the-art Terminal 2, which stands in sharp contrast to the airport's ageing original terminal. The Extime name may ring a bell: the brand was created in a partnership between TAV Operation Services, a global airport-operations group, and Groupe ADP, the operator of the Paris airports, and frequent flyers may know the Extime lounges at Paris Charles de Gaulle's Terminal 1 and Terminals 2B-2D. The opening of the Extime Lounge Almaty marks the first time the brand has been exported beyond France. It's a pay-per-visit lounge, so any traveller can buy in regardless of airline or status.
