The Aegean Business Lounge in the non-Schengen area at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos opened in early April 2022, bringing a touch of luxury to the Greek capital's airport. At around 1,200 square metres (13,000 square feet), it is substantially larger than its previous incarnation, with a refined design that incorporates natural materials and elegant finishes — marble, terrazzo, glass and wood — to evoke Greek architecture and a sense of renewal. Large windows let in plenty of daylight and reveal expansive tarmac views. The lounge sells walk-in entry, so you can pay per visit, and serves a complimentary hot buffet with snacks alongside house wine, beer, liquor and soft drinks. It's the more spacious and design-led of Aegean's two Athens lounges, and the natural choice for travellers departing from the non-Schengen side.
