Sobre CNX

Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) is a compact single-terminal gateway in northern Thailand, with the building split into a domestic wing and an international wing. We track four lounges. Three sit on the domestic side: Bangkok Airways runs the premium Blue Ribbon Club opposite gate 6 and the simpler landside Boutique Lounge, and Thai Airways operates its Royal Orchid Lounge (Royal Silk for business class) near gate 3 for Star Alliance and premium passengers. The international wing has a single lounge, the Coral Executive Lounge, airside after security and open to any passenger. DragonPass and Priority Pass are the most useful memberships here — they open the Coral Executive Lounge and the two Bangkok Airways lounges — while Thai Airways and Star Alliance status reaches the Royal Orchid Lounge. Because CNX is one building divided into two wings, pick a lounge on the side you're flying from.

Como entrar nas salas VIP em CNX.

Chiang Mai is a DragonPass and Priority Pass airport first. Those two memberships open the Coral Executive Lounge in the international wing and the Bangkok Airways lounges on the domestic side. Thai Airways and Star Alliance status reach the Royal Orchid Lounge, and several lounges also sell a walk-in day pass. Because CNX is a single building split into domestic and international wings, check which side your flight departs from before you settle in.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass is accepted at the Coral Executive Lounge in the international wing and at both Bangkok Airways lounges on the domestic side. It opens the widest set of lounges at CNX.

Priority Pass

Priority Pass works at the Coral Executive Lounge and the two Bangkok Airways lounges (Blue Ribbon Club and Boutique). Coverage mirrors DragonPass across the contract lounges, so either membership gets you into the same set.

Thai Airways runs its Royal Orchid Lounge (also called Royal Silk) for Thai Airways and Star Alliance premium-cabin and eligible status passengers near gate 3 in the domestic wing. Bangkok Airways admits its own premium passengers to the Blue Ribbon Club.

01

Domestic vs international wing

  • CNX is one terminal building split into a domestic wing and an international wing — pick a lounge on the side you're flying from.
  • Three of the four lounges are on the domestic side; the international side has only the Coral Executive Lounge.
  • If you're connecting domestic-to-international, you'll move between the two wings — leave time for the transfer and security.
02

Membership leads here

  • DragonPass and Priority Pass open the same set of contract lounges at CNX, so either membership works.
  • The Coral Executive Lounge takes both memberships and also sells a walk-in day pass, so you can get in without any card.
  • Thai Airways and Star Alliance status is what gets you into the Royal Orchid Lounge — the memberships don't cover it.
03

Airside vs landside

  • The Coral Executive Lounge in the international wing is airside, after security.
  • The two Bangkok Airways lounges on the domestic side are landside, before the security checkpoint.
  • Clear security first if your lounge is airside, and settle before security if you're heading for a landside Bangkok Airways lounge.
04

Small airport, plan ahead

  • Chiang Mai is a compact regional airport — lounge choice is limited, so know your options before you arrive.
  • The Bangkok Airways Boutique Lounge is free for all Bangkok Airways passengers, a useful fallback on the domestic side.
  • Check current opening hours for the airline lounges, which can keep shorter hours than the contract lounges.
