The Manaia Lounge at Christchurch International Airport is the airport's independent lounge option, sitting airside in the International Terminal opposite Gate 29. Because it's part of the DragonPass network, it opens the door to travellers who don't hold Star Alliance status or a Business Class ticket — the two Air New Zealand lounges run on airline access, while Manaia takes a lounge membership instead. The space has a contemporary design with a distinctly New Zealand touch: natural wood accents, subtle Kiwi motifs, large windows letting in natural light, and seating split between cosy nooks and open areas. Food and drink are complimentary — snacks alongside soft drinks, house wine, beer and liquor — and there are showers, Wi-Fi, a children's play area and flight information screens.
