The Virgin Australia Lounge is the standout space at Gold Coast Airport and the larger of its two lounges. Created by architect Tim Greer of Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, the two-storey, roughly 680-square-metre room features organic wood elements in the reception area, an open-plan layout and a distinctive leaf theme worked into the ceiling pattern. Airside in the Coolangatta terminal, it serves Virgin Australia lounge members, eligible Velocity status holders and passengers on a qualifying Virgin Australia fare. The catering is a step up from the airport's other lounge: a complimentary hot buffet alongside snacks, plus a self-serve bar with soft drinks, house wine, beer and spirits. With its scale and design, it's a comfortable place to settle before a Virgin Australia departure.
