Sobre KWE

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport (KWE) is the main gateway to Guizhou province in southwest China, and the lounges we track all sit in Terminal 3. Access divides cleanly by membership and alliance: DragonPass opens the independent and contract lounges, including the Skypearl Lounge on the international side and the VIP Lounge on the domestic side, while the FirstClass VIP Lounge adds SkyTeam status. Star Alliance premium-cabin passengers and eligible Gold members use the Air China Lounge and the First lounge. If you only carry one membership for Guiyang, DragonPass opens the most doors; premium-cabin and status passengers can use their alliance lounge instead. Most lounges are airside, after security, so check whether yours is on the international or domestic side of Terminal 3 before you clear the checkpoint.

Guia de acesso

Como entrar nas salas VIP em KWE.

Guiyang is a membership- and alliance-led airport rather than a walk-in one. DragonPass is the most useful single membership here, opening the independent and contract lounges in Terminal 3. SkyTeam status adds the FirstClass VIP Lounge, while Star Alliance premium-cabin passengers and eligible Gold members use the Air China and First lounges. Check whether your lounge is on the international or domestic side of Terminal 3 before you clear security.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass is the most useful membership at Guiyang, accepted at the FirstClass VIP Lounge, the Skypearl Lounge on the international side and the VIP Lounge on the domestic side of Terminal 3. If you carry one membership for KWE, this is the one.

DragonPass
Airline status

SkyTeam

SkyTeam Elite Plus passengers on an eligible flight can use the FirstClass VIP Lounge in Terminal 3. It's the only SkyTeam-accessible lounge at Guiyang, and it also takes DragonPass.

Business & First class ticket

A business- or first-class ticket on Air China or another Star Alliance carrier out of Guiyang gets you into the airline's Terminal 3 lounge directly — the simplest route if you're flying premium, with no membership needed.

01

Lead with DragonPass

  • DragonPass covers the most KWE lounges of any single membership — the FirstClass VIP, Skypearl and domestic VIP lounges.
  • Several of Guiyang's lounges are independent or contract lounges rather than airline-branded, so the membership matters more than your airline.
  • If you also hold SkyTeam status, the FirstClass VIP Lounge is your best bet — it covers both routes.
02

International vs domestic

  • Terminal 3 has an international side and a domestic side — the Skypearl Lounge serves international, the VIP Lounge serves domestic.
  • Pick the lounge on the right side of Terminal 3 for your flight before clearing security.
  • Domestic departures within China are the busier side of the operation at Guiyang.
03

Alliance travellers

  • Star Alliance premium-cabin and Gold passengers have the Air China and First lounges in Terminal 3.
  • SkyTeam Elite Plus passengers head for the FirstClass VIP Lounge.
  • Access to the airline lounges follows your ticket and status rather than a paid membership.
04

Timing & crowds

  • The lounges are generally calm and uncrowded, filling mainly around peak departure banks.
  • Arrive with a little extra time at busy periods if you want a relaxed seat.
  • Mid-day between the morning and evening peaks is usually the quietest window.
