The Malabar Business Travel Lounge is Lubumbashi's contract lounge and the easiest one to get into. It sits landside — before the security check — near entrance 2 in the main terminal, and welcomes DragonPass and Priority Pass members as well as walk-in guests who buy a day pass at the door (around 48 USD per guest). The space is modern but understated, with comfortable seating arranged in intimate clusters, warm muted lighting and the cool of air conditioning. Large windows bring in natural light during the day, and art pieces inspired by Congolese culture add a local touch. There's a hot and cold buffet, a bar serving complimentary house wine, beer and spirits, free Wi-Fi, newspapers and magazines, and power at the seats. With a two-hour maximum stay and an all-day opening, it's the dependable choice for most travellers leaving from FBM.
