Sobre ROK

Rockhampton Airport (ROK) is a single-terminal regional gateway in central Queensland, and lounge access here is simple because there is just one lounge: the Qantas Club. Rebuilt and reopened in late 2022 at roughly double its previous size, the 200-square-metre lounge seats around 65 guests and overlooks the tarmac, with dedicated work areas, high-speed Wi-Fi, and complimentary snacks alongside premium Australian beer and wine. It serves Qantas Club members, Qantas Gold, Platinum and Platinum One frequent flyers, and eligible oneworld status passengers travelling on a qualifying flight. There is no Priority Pass, DragonPass or walk-in day pass option at Rockhampton, and the lounge follows the flight schedule — opening about an hour before each Qantas service and closing after the last departure. If you don't hold Qantas membership or eligible status, plan to use the main terminal seating instead.

01

Know the one lounge

  • Rockhampton has a single lounge — the Qantas Club — so there's no choosing between options or terminals.
  • It sits after security on the ground floor near check-in, so clear the checkpoint before heading to it.
  • There's no Priority Pass, DragonPass or walk-in day pass here; access is Qantas membership or status only.
02

Plan around the flight bank

  • The Qantas Club opens about an hour before each Qantas service and closes after the last Qantas departure, so it follows the flight schedule rather than fixed daily hours.
  • On a quiet regional schedule the lounge can be closed between flights — check that a Qantas service is operating when you plan to use it.
  • Arrive with a little buffer so you can settle in before boarding rather than rushing through security.
03

Make the most of the space

  • The 2022 rebuild doubled capacity to seat around 65 guests, with a bird's-eye view over the tarmac.
  • There are dedicated work areas with high tables and high-speed Wi-Fi if you need to get something done before you fly.
  • Complimentary snacks plus premium Australian beer and wine are on offer — a relaxed pre-flight stop rather than a full meal service.
04

If you can't get in

  • Without Qantas membership or eligible status there's no lounge alternative at ROK, so plan to use the main terminal seating.
  • Rockhampton is a compact regional terminal, so queues and walking distances are short even at busy times.
  • If lounge access matters to your trip, your larger connecting airport — usually Brisbane — will have far more options.
