Sobre TUN

Tunis-Carthage (TUN) is Tunisia's busiest airport and main international gateway, and its lounge scene is compact. There's a single airside contract lounge, Privilege Lounge in Terminal 1, which is the only option on DragonPass and Priority Pass. Tunisair runs the airport's only business-class lounge, the Espace Privilege Lounge, for its premium-cabin passengers. The rest of the field belongs to AVS, which operates paid VIP rooms on both the departures and arrivals sides for AVS cardholders and paying guests, bundling concierge and priority airport services. Tunis-Carthage is mostly pay-per-visit: three of its four lounges are entered by buying access at the door, with Privilege Lounge the exception covered by lounge memberships. Because the airport runs from one terminal, you won't change buildings, but it's worth knowing which lounges are airside and which sit landside before you go through.

Best Overall

Privilege Lounge Tunis

Privilege Lounge in Terminal 1 is the most accessible option at TUN — it's the only lounge that takes DragonPass and Priority Pass, sits airside past passport control near Duty Free, and offers a hot and cold buffet, alcohol, Wi-Fi and runway views. The default pick for most international departures.

Best Airline Lounge

Tunisair Espace Privilege Lounge

The Tunisair Espace Privilege Lounge is the only business-class lounge at Tunis-Carthage, with a hot buffet and a full bar including house wine, beer and liquor. The natural choice if you're flying Tunisair in a premium cabin or hold eligible status.

Best for VIP Service

AVS Salon VIP (Departures)

The AVS Salon VIP (Departures) sits landside in the check-in hall and bundles a quiet lounge with concierge, priority check-in and fast-tracked security screening. A pay-per-visit or AVS-card option when you want help moving through the airport, not just a seat.

Best for Arrivals

AVS Salon VIP (Arrivals)

The AVS Salon VIP (Arrivals) is in the international arrivals hall before passport control, pairing an elegant seating area with priority immigration and baggage delivery. A rare arrivals-side option that the departure lounges don't cover, useful after a long flight into Tunis.

Terminal 1

Tunis-Carthage runs from a single passenger terminal, so all of TUN's lounges sit here. Privilege Lounge is the only airside contract lounge, reachable on DragonPass or Priority Pass after passport control and security. Tunisair's business-class lounge serves its premium passengers, and AVS operates paid VIP rooms on both the departures (landside, check-in hall) and arrivals (before passport control) sides.

  • Single-terminal airport — every TUN lounge is in Terminal 1
  • Privilege Lounge is the only DragonPass / Priority Pass option, airside
  • Tunisair Espace Privilege is the airport's only business-class lounge
  • AVS runs paid VIP lounges on both the departures and arrivals sides
Guia de acesso

Como entrar nas salas VIP em TUN.

Tunis-Carthage is mostly a pay-per-visit airport. Three of its four lounges are entered by buying access at the door, and the AVS VIP rooms are reserved for paying guests and AVS cardholders. The exception is Privilege Lounge, the single airside lounge that takes DragonPass and Priority Pass. If you're flying Tunisair in a premium cabin, you'll use the airline's own business-class lounge.

Day pass

Walk-in / paid entry

Most TUN lounges are entered by paying at the door. The Tunisair Espace Privilege Lounge and both AVS VIP rooms sell access on a pay-per-visit basis, so you can get in without a lounge membership or airline status.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass is accepted at Privilege Lounge in Terminal 1, the only airside contract lounge at Tunis-Carthage. It's the most useful membership to carry here, covering the one lounge you reach after clearing passport control and security.

Priority Pass

Priority Pass also gets you into Privilege Lounge airside in Terminal 1. Coverage at TUN is limited to this single lounge, so confirm the per-lounge page before relying on it.

Tunisair business class

A Tunisair business-class ticket, or eligible frequent-flyer status, gets you into the Tunisair Espace Privilege Lounge — the airport's only business-class lounge. This is the simplest route if you're flying premium out of Tunis on the national carrier.

01

One airside lounge

  • Privilege Lounge is the only lounge you can reach airside after passport control — and the only one on DragonPass or Priority Pass.
  • If you carry either membership, head straight there; the AVS departures room and Tunisair lounge are separate, paid options.
  • Privilege Lounge caps stays at three hours, so time your arrival to your boarding rather than settling in for a long wait.
02

Landside vs airside

  • The AVS Salon VIP (Departures) is landside in the check-in hall — use it before security if you arrive early.
  • The AVS Salon VIP (Arrivals) sits before passport control on the way in, so it's for landing passengers, not departures.
  • Don't confuse the two AVS rooms; only the airside Privilege and Tunisair lounges are past the security checkpoint.
03

Flying Tunisair

  • The Tunisair Espace Privilege Lounge is the airport's only business-class lounge — the natural pick if you're flying Tunisair premium.
  • It pours a fuller bar than the contract lounge, with house wine, beer and liquor alongside a hot buffet.
  • If you're not on Tunisair or don't hold a lounge membership, paid entry to AVS or the Tunisair lounge is your route in.
04

Plan your timing

  • Tunis-Carthage can be slow through check-in and security at peak; arrive early and don't bank on a long lounge stay.
  • The AVS VIP service bundles priority check-in and security, which can be worth it on a busy departure morning.
  • Lounge food and drink at TUN are solid but simple — set expectations to a comfortable buffet rather than fine dining.
