Sobre OVD

Asturias Airport (OVD) sits on the green northern coast of Spain and keeps things simple, with two lounges in its single passenger terminal — both airside, after security and passport control. Picos de Europa is the flexible, independent option: it welcomes all passengers on a pay-in basis and also accepts DragonPass, with complimentary snacks plus house wine, beer and spirits and a four-hour maximum stay. The VIP Lounge is reserved for eligible passengers on oneworld member airlines, a contemporary space with floor-to-ceiling windows, runway views and a buffet. If you don't hold a oneworld ticket or status, Picos de Europa is the lounge to head for; if you do, the VIP Lounge is the branded-access choice. Both look out over the runway and have Wi-Fi and charging.

01

  • The VIP Lounge is oneworld-only, so it's the pick if your ticket or status qualifies.
  • Both lounges are airside, so clear security and passport control before heading to either.
02

Pay-per-visit at Picos de Europa

  • Picos de Europa welcomes all passengers on a pay-in basis, so you can pay per visit without a membership.
  • There's a four-hour maximum stay, which is plenty for the short-haul flights OVD mostly serves.
  • DragonPass holders get in here too, if you'd rather use a membership than pay at the door.
03

Timing and crowds

  • The lounges open early (from around 05:00) and run into the evening, covering the airport's main banks.
  • Asturias is a smaller regional airport, so lounges are generally calmer than at a major hub.
  • Arrive with a little time in hand at peak holiday periods, when the terminal is busier.
04

Make the most of the views

  • Both lounges have runway views — the VIP Lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows worth a window seat.
  • Picos de Europa serves complimentary snacks plus house wine, beer and spirits once you're in.
  • Both have Wi-Fi and charging, so they work for catching up on email before a flight.
