Sobre AUS

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) keeps things compact: four lounges, all airside in the single Barbara Jordan Terminal. Three belong to the big US carriers — the Delta Sky Club for SkyTeam flyers, the United Club for Star Alliance, and the American Airlines Admirals Club for oneworld — each admitting their own status passengers and premium cabins. The fourth, the Chase Sapphire Terrace, is an exclusive indoor-outdoor space for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders and the only card-access option here. There's no Priority Pass or DragonPass lounge at Austin, so your way in usually depends on the airline you're flying or the premium card in your wallet. Because everything is in one terminal, you only clear a single security checkpoint to reach any lounge.

  • United Club is upstairs in the West Concourse, reached by elevator
Guia de acesso

Como entrar nas salas VIP em AUS.

Austin is an airline-club airport at heart: three of its four lounges belong to Delta, United and American and follow each carrier's alliance and premium-cabin rules. The exception is the Chase Sapphire Terrace, which opens to Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders. There's no Priority Pass or DragonPass lounge here, so your route in usually comes down to who you're flying or which premium card you carry.

Airline status

Airline & alliance lounges

All three airline clubs run on alliance status: Delta Sky Club for SkyTeam Elite Plus, United Club for Star Alliance Gold, and the American Airlines Admirals Club for oneworld Sapphire. Eligibility follows your tier and the airline you're flying that day.

Business & First class ticket

A business- or first-class ticket on Delta, United or American gets you into that airline's Austin club directly — the simplest route if you're flying premium out of AUS, with no separate membership needed.

Chase Sapphire Reserve

The Chase Sapphire Terrace is open to Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders. Bring your card and boarding pass; this is the only lounge at AUS reachable on a credit card rather than airline status.

Paid airline club memberships — Delta Sky Club, United Club Card and Admirals Club — also get you into the matching lounge regardless of cabin or status. Day passes for these clubs vary by airline and aren't always sold at the door.

01

Match the lounge to your airline

  • Three of the four AUS lounges are airline clubs — your easiest way in is usually the lounge for the airline you're already flying.
  • There's no Priority Pass or DragonPass lounge at Austin, so independent-membership holders have fewer options than at larger hubs.
  • If you carry a Chase Sapphire Reserve card, the Chase Sapphire Terrace is your one card-access route in.
02

Where the lounges are

  • All four lounges sit airside in the single Barbara Jordan Terminal, so you only need to clear one security checkpoint.
  • The United Club is on the second floor of the West Concourse — take the elevator up to reach it.
  • Because it's one terminal, you won't be locked out of a lounge by being in the wrong building the way you would at a multi-terminal airport.
03

Food and drink varies

  • The American Airlines Admirals Club has the fullest bar at AUS, with complimentary house wine, beer and liquor.
  • The Chase Sapphire Terrace keeps it lighter — complimentary snacks, soft drinks and house wine and beer in an indoor-outdoor setting.
  • Expect cold spreads and snacks rather than large hot buffets across the Austin lounges.
04

Timing and hours

  • The airline clubs open early — around 04:15-04:30 — to catch the first morning departure bank out of Austin.
  • Most close by the early evening, so a late-night flight may leave you without lounge access; check the hours on the lounge page.
  • Austin's morning and late-afternoon peaks are the busiest windows; arrive a little earlier if you want a quieter seat.
