Sobre BER

Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) runs its entire passenger operation from a single main building, Terminal 1, and every lounge we track sits there, airside after security. Access splits into two clear groups. The independent contract lounges — Lounge Tegel near gate B17 and Lounge Tempelhof near gate A20, plus the Business Lounge Tempelhof — cover the membership networks, with SkyTeam status, DragonPass, Priority Pass and oneworld all reaching at least one of them. Lufthansa runs three lounges in the Schengen area across from gate B20: the Lufthansa Lounge Berlin, the Business Lounge and the higher-tier Senator Lounge, all for Star Alliance Gold members and eligible premium-cabin passengers. If you don't fly a Star Alliance carrier, DragonPass opens the most doors at BER; Priority Pass covers Lounge Tegel; and a business- or first-class ticket on your alliance gets you into the matching lounge. Because everything is in Terminal 1, picking a lounge is mostly about which gate you're departing from.

Best for oneworld

Lounge Tempelhof

Lounge Tempelhof is the BER independent that adds oneworld access on top of SkyTeam and DragonPass. Airside near gate A20 with runway views, it's the natural choice for oneworld Sapphire and business-class passengers who can't use the Lufthansa lounges.

Best Airline Lounge

Lufthansa Senator Lounge

The Lufthansa Senator Lounge is the higher-tier Star Alliance space at BER, serving Star Alliance Gold members and eligible premium-cabin passengers. Set in the Schengen area of Terminal 1, it's the most consistent branded-airline experience at the airport.

Best for Business Class

Lufthansa Business Lounge Berlin

The Lufthansa Business Lounge Berlin serves Star Alliance Gold members and business-class passengers flying a Star Alliance carrier from the Schengen gates. A reliable, work-friendly option with a hot and cold buffet for most Lufthansa-group departures.

Guia de acesso

Como entrar nas salas VIP em BER.

Access at Berlin Brandenburg splits cleanly into two camps. The independent contract lounges — Lounge Tegel, Lounge Tempelhof and the Business Lounge Tempelhof — cover the membership networks (SkyTeam, DragonPass, Priority Pass and oneworld) plus business and first-class tickets. The Lufthansa-run lounges are Star Alliance only, opening to Star Alliance Gold members and eligible premium-cabin passengers. Check which group your card or status falls into before you clear security.

Priority Pass

Priority Pass is accepted at Lounge Tegel in Terminal 1, airside near gate B17. It's the single Priority Pass option at BER, so confirm the lounge on your per-lounge page before relying on it.

Airline status

Airline & alliance lounges

SkyTeam Elite Plus status reaches the Business Lounge Tempelhof, Lounge Tegel and Lounge Tempelhof; oneworld Sapphire status reaches Lounge Tempelhof; and Star Alliance Gold status opens the three Lufthansa lounges in the Schengen area. Access follows your ticket and frequent-flyer tier.

Business & First class ticket

A business- or first-class ticket on a SkyTeam or oneworld carrier gets you into the matching independent lounge, while a Star Alliance business-class ticket opens the Lufthansa Business Lounge. Premium-cabin travel is the simplest route in if you don't hold lounge status.

01

One terminal, two camps

  • Every BER lounge is in Terminal 1, so you won't be changing buildings to reach one.
  • Access divides into independent contract lounges (membership-friendly) and Lufthansa lounges (Star Alliance only) — know which one your card or status fits.
  • If you only carry one lounge membership, DragonPass opens the most doors at BER.
02

Pick by your gate

  • Lounge Tegel sits near gate B17 and Lounge Tempelhof near gate A20 — choose the one closer to your departure gate.
  • The Lufthansa lounges cluster in the Schengen area across from gate B20, handy for intra-Europe departures.
  • Lounge Tempelhof has runway views if you want something to watch before boarding.
03

Mind the hours

  • BER's lounges generally open from early morning (around 05:00) and close in the evening, roughly 20:30–21:30.
  • Late-evening departures may fall outside lounge hours, so check the closing time against your boarding time.
  • Arrive with time to spare — the independent lounges can get busy and feel more like a café at peak.
04

Match status to lounge

  • Star Alliance Gold flyers should head for the Lufthansa Senator or Business lounge rather than the independents.
  • SkyTeam and oneworld passengers are covered by Lounge Tegel and Lounge Tempelhof instead.
  • The Business Lounge Tempelhof is a SkyTeam-access lounge near gate A20 — a quieter alternative on that side of the terminal.
