Sobre CGN

Cologne/Bonn International (CGN) runs a small, access-led lounge scene with three lounges across its two terminals. Terminal 1 holds two of them: The Lounge Koeln-Bonn, the airport's only Priority Pass lounge, and The Lounge by GLN, which serves Star Alliance Gold members and business-class passengers opposite Gate C61. Terminal 2 has a single lounge, simply called The Lounge, on the upper level of Concourse D opposite Gate D50 — the oneworld option for Sapphire status holders and business-class flyers, and the only CGN lounge serving hot food. There's no broad walk-in day-pass scene here, so your way in usually depends on a Priority Pass membership, the right airline alliance status, or a premium-cabin ticket. Because the terminals don't connect airside, always pick a lounge in the terminal you're flying from before you clear security.

Como entrar nas salas VIP em CGN.

Cologne/Bonn is a status- and membership-led airport rather than a walk-in one. The single Priority Pass lounge covers travellers with a lounge membership, while the other two lounges follow airline alliances — Star Alliance in Terminal 1 and oneworld in Terminal 2 — for Gold or Sapphire status holders and business-class passengers. Check which terminal your lounge is in before you clear security, as the two terminals don't connect airside.

Lounge membership

Priority Pass

Priority Pass is accepted at The Lounge Koeln-Bonn in Terminal 1, the only CGN lounge in the network. If a lounge membership is your route in, this is the lounge to head for; the Terminal 2 and Star Alliance lounges don't take Priority Pass.

Priority Pass
Airline status

Star Alliance status

Star Alliance Gold members can use The Lounge by GLN in Terminal 1, opposite Gate C61. Access follows your Star Alliance tier and the flight you're taking, so carry your frequent-flyer card and boarding pass.

Airline status

oneworld status

oneworld Sapphire and Emerald status holders can use The Lounge in Terminal 2, on Concourse D. As with the Star Alliance lounge, entry depends on your tier and your departing flight.

Business class ticket

A business-class ticket gets you into the lounge that matches your airline's alliance — The Lounge by GLN for Star Alliance carriers in Terminal 1, or The Lounge for oneworld carriers in Terminal 2 — without needing frequent-flyer status.

01

Pick the right terminal

  • CGN's two terminals are separate — check whether your lounge is in Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 before clearing security.
  • Terminal 1 has the Priority Pass and Star Alliance lounges; Terminal 2 has the single oneworld lounge.
  • If you're connecting between terminals, allow time to move between them landside.
02

Match access to your route

  • Carrying Priority Pass? The Lounge Koeln-Bonn in Terminal 1 is your only in-network option at CGN.
  • Flying a Star Alliance carrier with Gold status or in business class? Head for The Lounge by GLN in Terminal 1.
  • On a oneworld carrier with Sapphire status or a business ticket? The Lounge in Terminal 2 is the one for you.
03

Mind the hours

  • The Lounge by GLN keeps the longest hours, open into the early hours, which helps with late Star Alliance departures.
  • The two other lounges open early but close in the evening, around 22:00.
  • For very early or very late flights, confirm the lounge for your access type is open before you rely on it.
04

Know what's on offer

  • The Terminal 2 oneworld lounge is the only one at CGN serving hot food and offering power at the seats.
  • The Terminal 1 lounges lean on snacks and drinks rather than hot meals — plan accordingly for a longer wait.
  • The Lounge Koeln-Bonn also offers spa services, a useful extra if you have time before boarding.
