Sobre HET

Hohhot Baita International Airport (HET) is the main gateway to Inner Mongolia, and the eight lounges we track are spread across its terminals rather than clustered in one zone. Most are independent First Class lounges reachable on DragonPass, with First Class Lounge No.3 in Terminal 1 also taking Priority Pass. Air China runs Star Alliance lounges, the Inner Mongolia Airport VIP Service is aligned with SkyTeam, and Air China First Lounge sells walk-in paid entry. If you're carrying a single lounge membership, DragonPass opens the most doors here. Lounge locations are described by gate, and one option — the Mengjing Yixing Reception Counter — sits landside in the Departure Hall, so check whether your lounge is before or after security before you clear the checkpoint.

Terminal 1

  • First Class Lounge No.3 takes both DragonPass and Priority Pass
  • Airside, across from Gate 16 after security and passport control
  • The only HET lounge on Priority Pass — confirm before relying on it

Terminal 2 handles domestic flights and holds two independent First Class lounges — No.4 and No.6 — both reachable on DragonPass and sitting airside after the security check. No.6 carries subtle nods to Mongolian design and is rarely crowded.

  • First Class Lounge No.4 (turn right after security) takes DragonPass
  • First Class Lounge No.6 sits near Gate 13/106 down the escalator, on DragonPass

Guia de acesso

Como entrar nas salas VIP em HET.

Hohhot is a DragonPass airport first and foremost — that membership opens the widest set of lounges, including the independent First Class lounges and the landside reception counter. Priority Pass covers a single lounge (First Class Lounge No.3 in Terminal 1), Star Alliance and SkyTeam status reach the airline-aligned lounges, and at least one lounge sells walk-in paid entry. Check whether your lounge is airside or landside before clearing security.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass is the most useful membership at Hohhot, accepted at the independent First Class lounges (No.3, No.4 and No.6) and the landside Mengjing Yixing Reception Counter. If you only carry one membership here, make it DragonPass.

DragonPass
Lounge membership

Priority Pass

Priority Pass coverage at HET is limited to First Class Lounge No.3 in Terminal 1, which also takes DragonPass. Confirm the lounge and terminal on the per-lounge page before you travel, as the rest of the field is not on Priority Pass.

Airline status

Airline & alliance lounges

Air China runs its lounges for Star Alliance premium-cabin passengers and eligible status holders, and the Inner Mongolia Airport VIP Service is aligned with SkyTeam. Access follows your ticket and frequent-flyer tier rather than a paid membership.

Walk-in paid entry

Air China First Lounge in the domestic terminal sells paid entry, so you can get in without a lounge membership or airline status. Pay-per-visit is the simplest route if you don't hold DragonPass or Priority Pass.

01

Lead with DragonPass

  • DragonPass opens more Hohhot lounges than any other route — the independent First Class lounges and the landside reception counter all take it.
  • Priority Pass works at only one HET lounge (First Class Lounge No.3), so don't count on it as your main access here.
02

Airside vs landside

  • Most HET lounges are airside, after security and passport control — clear the checkpoint first.
  • The Mengjing Yixing Reception Counter is landside in Area C of the Departure Hall, useful if you arrive early and want to settle before security.
03

Know your terminal and gate

  • Lounge locations at Hohhot are described by gate rather than a single lounge zone — note the nearest gate before you go through.
  • Terminal 2 lounges (No.4 and No.6) are domestic; First Class Lounge No.3 is in Terminal 1 across from Gate 16.
  • The Air China and Business Class lounges sit on the second floor near Gates 8 and 14.
04

Timing & crowds

  • The independent First Class lounges are described as rarely crowded, so you can usually find a quiet seat outside peak banks.
  • Most lounges open from early morning through the last departure — check the per-lounge hours, as a couple close earlier in the evening.
