Sobre LUN

Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) is Zambia's busiest gateway, in the capital Lusaka, and its lounges all sit inside the single modern passenger terminal. We track three: the Pearl Lounge, the IAPCO Lounge and the Kenya Airways Pride Lounge. The Pearl Lounge is the most flexible way in, accepting DragonPass, Star Alliance and oneworld status plus walk-in entry, and it sits airside on level 2 near gate 4 with a hot buffet, a bar and Wi-Fi. The IAPCO Lounge is a smaller, quieter space on the first floor after passport control for Star Alliance passengers, and the Kenya Airways Pride Lounge sits after security for Kenya Airways and SkyTeam partner premium passengers, with pay-per-visit entry available. Between them you can get in on a lounge membership, alliance status, a premium-cabin ticket or a walk-in day pass.

Onde nós realmente iríamos.

Best Overall

Pearl Lounge

The Pearl Lounge has the widest access of any lounge at Lusaka — DragonPass, Star Alliance and oneworld status all get you in, and it sells walk-in entry too. It sits airside near gate 4 with a hot buffet, bar and Wi-Fi, so it works for the most travellers without a specific card or airline.

Best Airline Lounge

Kenya Airways Pride Lounge

The Kenya Airways Pride Lounge is the branded option at LUN, located after security and welcoming Kenya Airways and SkyTeam partner premium passengers. It also sells pay-per-visit entry, with a complimentary hot buffet and snacks.

Best for Star Alliance

Iapco Lounge

The IAPCO Lounge is a quieter, more intimate space on the first floor after passport control, reached by Star Alliance Gold status or a business-class ticket. With a single gate nearby it tends to be calmer than the larger lounges.

Guia de acesso

Como entrar nas salas VIP em LUN.

Lusaka is a small but well-covered lounge airport — between the three lounges you can get in on a frequent-flyer membership, airline alliance status, a premium-cabin ticket or a walk-in day pass. The Pearl Lounge is the most flexible single option because it accepts DragonPass, Star Alliance, oneworld and pay-in entry all in one place. Always confirm your lounge is reachable from where you are airside before clearing the checkpoint.

Lounge membership

DragonPass

DragonPass opens the Pearl Lounge, the airside lounge near gate 4. It's the single most useful membership at Lusaka, since the other two lounges are tied to airline alliances rather than independent lounge programs.

Airline status

Airline & alliance lounges

Star Alliance Gold status or a business-class ticket reaches both the Pearl Lounge and the IAPCO Lounge, while oneworld Sapphire status (or a oneworld business-class ticket) covers the Pearl Lounge. The Kenya Airways Pride Lounge serves Kenya Airways and SkyTeam partner premium passengers.

The Pearl Lounge and the Kenya Airways Pride Lounge are both purchasable, so you can pay per visit at the door without a membership or airline status. Booking ahead where possible is usually the safest way to guarantee a spot.

Business & First class ticket

A business-class ticket on a Star Alliance carrier reaches the Pearl and IAPCO lounges, a oneworld business-class ticket reaches the Pearl Lounge, and a premium ticket on Kenya Airways or a SkyTeam partner reaches the Kenya Airways Pride Lounge. 01

Lead with the Pearl Lounge

  • The Pearl Lounge covers the most access types at Lusaka — DragonPass, Star Alliance, oneworld and walk-in — so it's the default choice if you have a flexible card.
  • It's airside on level 2 near gate 4, with a hot buffet, bar and Wi-Fi, and allows a stay of up to four hours.
02

Match the lounge to your access

  • Star Alliance Gold or a Star business-class ticket gets you into both the Pearl and IAPCO lounges.
  • Flying Kenya Airways or another SkyTeam carrier in a premium cabin? Use the Kenya Airways Pride Lounge after security.
  • No status or membership? The Pearl and Kenya Airways lounges both sell pay-per-visit entry.
03

Find your way airside

  • The Pearl Lounge sits airside after passport control and security, on level 2 near gate 4.
  • The IAPCO Lounge is on the first floor — after passport control, take the elevator up and turn left.
  • The Kenya Airways Pride Lounge is located after the security checkpoint.
04

Give yourself time

  • Lusaka is a compact airport, but check-in, immigration and security can be slow at peak departure banks, so arrive early.
  • Lounges can fill around the busy international evening departures — go in earlier if you want a quieter seat.
