Sobre WAW

Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) is Poland's busiest gateway, and all six of the lounges we track sit inside its single passenger building, Terminal A, which is divided into Schengen and non-Schengen zones after a shared security checkpoint. The independent lounges — Etiuda Executive, Preludium and Preludium Executive — run on DragonPass and Priority Pass and cluster around the Schengen departure gates, with showers, buffets and bars. LOT Polish Airlines, the home carrier, runs two Star Alliance business lounges: Polonez in the Schengen area and Mazurek in the non-Schengen area, both for premium-cabin passengers and Star Alliance Gold members. A separate VIP Lounge offers a premium meet-and-greet service with discreet security, private check-in and transport to the aircraft. Because everything is airside in one terminal, the main thing to get right is whether your gate is in the Schengen or non-Schengen zone before you pick a lounge.

The LOT Business Lounge Polonez is the Polish flag carrier's flagship lounge, centrally located near gates 25 to 26 in the Schengen area. It welcomes LOT business-class passengers and Star Alliance Gold members — the most consistent branded-airline experience at Warsaw.

Best for Priority Pass

Preludium Lounge

The Preludium Lounge in Terminal A's Schengen area, near gates 34 to 35 on the lower level, is a reliable Priority Pass option at Warsaw. It offers a hot and cold buffet, bar, showers and Wi-Fi for cardholders without airline status.

Best Premium Service

VIP Lounge

The VIP Lounge is Warsaw's premium meet-and-greet option, bundling discreet security and passport control, private check-in, a quiet room for calls and individual transport to the aircraft alongside food and drinks. A step beyond a standard lounge visit.

Como entrar nas salas VIP em WAW.

Warsaw Chopin is a membership and airline-status airport at heart. DragonPass and Priority Pass open the independent Etiuda and Preludium lounges, LOT Polish Airlines and Star Alliance status reach the two LOT business lounges, and a couple of options sell paid entry for travellers without a card or status. All the lounges sit airside in Terminal A, so clear security first.

Priority Pass

Priority Pass is accepted at the Etiuda Executive Lounge and the Preludium Lounge, both airside in Terminal A. Present a valid Priority Pass card with your boarding pass; guest and visit terms follow your Priority Pass plan.

DragonPass

DragonPass opens the Etiuda Executive Lounge and the Preludium Executive Lounge in Terminal A. It's the membership that covers the executive lounges around the Schengen gates, so check which lounge matches your departure zone.

Airline & alliance lounges

LOT Polish Airlines runs the Polonez and Mazurek business lounges for its premium-cabin passengers and Star Alliance Gold members. Access follows your LOT ticket class or Star Alliance status — Polonez sits in the Schengen area, Mazurek in the non-Schengen area.

01

Schengen vs non-Schengen

  • Terminal A is split into Schengen and non-Schengen zones — your gate decides which lounges you can reach airside.
  • The Preludium and Polonez lounges are in the Schengen area; the LOT Mazurek lounge is in the non-Schengen area near gates 19N-20N.
  • Match your lounge to your departure zone before you pass through, as crossing between zones can mean extra passport checks.
02

Pick the right membership

  • Etiuda takes both DragonPass and Priority Pass, so it's the safest independent lounge if you're not sure which card will be honoured.
  • The Preludium pair splits the networks — Preludium Executive is DragonPass, the Preludium Lounge is Priority Pass.
  • If you fly LOT or hold Star Alliance Gold, the Polonez and Mazurek business lounges are included with your ticket or status.
03

Timing & hours

  • The independent lounges generally open from early morning until late evening rather than around the clock — check the closing time if you have a late flight.
  • Warsaw's busy morning and early-evening departure banks fill the lounges fastest; arrive early if you want a quiet seat.
  • Allow time for security and passport control at peak, especially on non-Schengen departures.
04

When you want more

  • The VIP Lounge bundles discreet security, private check-in and individual transport to the aircraft — worth it for a high-stakes or stress-free departure.
  • Etiuda and Preludium both have showers, handy on a long-haul connection through Warsaw.
  • The executive lounges include house wine, beer and spirits alongside the buffet, so factor that in when comparing options.
